I'm at Northeastern with Ore Segal watching students build things that didn't exist this morning.

Portfolio sites. Apps that solve real problems on their campus. Most had never touched Base44 before today.

The thing that keeps getting me is the questions. Not "how do I do this" but "does my user actually need this?" and "am I solving the right problem?"

Nobody handed them that. The building forced the thinking.

AI literacy and AI fluency are not the same thing. My team teaches both. But fluency doesn't happen in a slide deck. It happens in a room like this, where students are building, breaking, fixing, and figuring it out in real time.
