After graduating Cum Laude from Southern College of Optometry, I completed an internship at Charleston Air Force Base, specializing in ocular disease and contact lenses. Shortly after, I acquired my first optometry practice and grew it into multiple locations. They’re not making more dirt, but they are making more renters. That’s why I’m buying land, especially in cities like Cincinnati, where demand for affordable housing is growing fast and supply can’t keep up.

Cincinnati has a shortage of over 50,000 affordable housing units. The population is around 314,000, which breaks down to about 149,000 households. The average household income is $50,000. Using the 30% housing rule, that means the average family should be paying about $1,250 a month in rent. But right now, average rent is $1,400. That’s $150 over budget for the average family, every single month.

This is why I’m buying land and building rentals that people can actually afford. While some investors wait for perfect deals or chase luxury plays, I’m focused on where the real demand is. If you can provide clean, sustainable housing that meets people’s needs and still cash flows, that’s a win for everyone.

This is the kind of investing that matters. It solves problems and builds long-term wealth at the same time.

Law of Attraction doesn’t work… unless YOU do.

A lot of people trying to manifest millions still think like they’re broke. That’s like planting a mango seed and expecting apples to show up. Doesn’t work.

You can’t get new results with the same old mindset. You don’t get what you want. You get what matches who you are. 

You say you want to level up, but your habits, your actions, your identity still reflect the old you.

-The broke version of you can’t handle real money.
-The undisciplined version can’t scale anything.
-The scared version will kill every opportunity you get.

This is why setting goals isn’t enough. You’ve got to change your identity.

A few years ago, I only gave thanks when something was complete. The deal closed. The numbers hit. The win was obvious. Gratitude felt like something you earned at the end, not something you practiced in the process.

But here's what I’ve learned since: the best operators, leaders, and investors don’t just celebrate outcomes. They anchor themselves with gratitude while things are still uncertain. And that shift isn’t just mindset fluff...it’s a strategic advantage.

Gratitude in the middle reduces emotional noise. It lowers stress so you can think clearly, make better decisions, and lead with calm instead of chaos. It keeps you focused on what’s working while you build what’s next. And when you train your nervous system to stay steady, you unlock more capacity to scale, handle complexity, and stay in the game longer.

Business is not just about numbers and strategy. It’s also about energy, perspective, and mental endurance. Gratitude protects all three.

This Thanksgiving, don’t just celebrate the finish line. Look around. There’s probably something in the middle worth honoring too.
