My 14 year old told me that this week.


He overheard me talking to a friend about their business and where they were stuck.  I gave them some ideas and a strategy on what I’ve seen work in similar situations before. 

When we got off the call, my son asked me how much they pay me. 

“They’re not paying me, I wanted help them out”… leading to his comment. 


Maybe I’m just a naive guy in his mid 40’s, but I believe the universe will conspire for that payment to come back around - but maybe not directly from that person. 

Maybe they’ll intro me to a client…Maybe not. It doesn’t really matter, it’ll all work out some way. 

It doesn’t always have to be a linear transaction every time. 

Idk, maybe I am wrong and I should be taking advice from him here.

Sometimes, the conditions only allowed these to happen once or twice a year - or not at all.  

Tuning into that heightened sense of awareness and the rarity of the situation made it feel almost supernatural. 
 

I got to taste a bit of that awe and wonder again tonight - waking the dogs under the supermoon.  

Even for just a few moments.

Got hit with a wave of gratitude for where I’ve been and where I am - my loved ones tell me it’s been a journey. I don’t disagree. 


Fascinating how our priorities naturally shift and change with time. 

Never would have thought walking my dogs would trigger similar emotions to these experiences I relentlessly chased.

But I was actually doing REALLY well until your email found me.

Big news! I’ve decided to build my own car.

Sure, the sales person at the dealership offered a fully functional, safe, compliant vehicle with features like brakes and doors. But $34K? Absolutely not.

Buying one that already exists? Too expensive. Plus, I know what I need to make a car work. Probably.

So far I’ve spent $11K on parts, 97 hours on YouTube, and I’m one minor explosion away from forward motion.

All I need now is a transmission, steering, something called a VIN, and whatever makes a car stop.

Sure, the dealership laughed… but who's laughing now?

(Definitely still them, but I'll have my moment.)

I just asked my wife what would "move the needle" on her energy levels throughout the day as she's dealing with our 3 kids.

You say I've been in sales too long.

I say I'm just being consultative.

I used to Excel at outbound at my last company.

Literally.

Excel was how I got my list of numbers and emails. 😂 

I know that was bad...BUT dad jokes aside, Marketing would pull the list for me, email me the spreadsheet and basically say "Good Luck"!

So I'd rip my dials and blast my templates without much hope that anything would come from it.

I had trust that the numbers were accurate (they weren't) or if the emails were bad (they were).

I'd connect with MAYBE 2/100 people on the phones, and even those ones were rarely the right person.

My emails? Bounced more often than my 7 y/o at a trampoline park.

Enter FullEnrich.

Once I started to pull my own lists with FullEnrich?

I was actually confident that the people I was dialing and emailing WERE the people I was dialing and emailing!

Connect rates? Skyrocketed. Bounce rates? Plummeted. All the metrics were moving in the right direction!
