I am working as an applied scientist (IC-4) in the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Speech team. My team's focus is on: Foundational models for ASR, Acoustic modeling, End-to-end ASR and Speech LLMs.

I was a post doctoral researcher in the digital signal processing group of Prof. Thomas Niesler in the department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering from November 2019 to March 2022. We worked on the development of ASR and free-ASR keyword spotting systems for extremely low resource radio browsing in Bambara and Maasina Fulfulde languages. These systems are being used by the United Nations for their humanitarian programs in the African region.

I was a part of the data science group which was responsible for the concept, design and development of Uniphore's conversational AI suite of products. Our focus was on speech and language processing for improving customer experience in contact centres. I worked in the product R&D for ASR of low resource tonal and Indian languages for conversational AI. These developments were crucial to Uniphore's flagship product at the time, Aumina.

In the ASR Mandi project (https://asrmandi.wixsite.com/asrmandi) sponsored by the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Govt. of India, our goal was to develop an interactive speech recognition engine that helped farmers stay updated with the latest price of agricultural commodities and weather by a telephonic call and enquiring in their native language. My responsibilities in the project were: 
•	To develop a hybrid ASR system using KALDI for Jharkhand Hindi Language. 
•	Strategy planning for data collection across the state of Jharkhand with an objective to collect 1500 speaker data across 24 districts of Jharkhand.
•	Develop transcription strategies to make raw speech data an intelligible source for speech recognition tasks.
•	Maintain ASR voice server to aid on field data collection personnel and fetch real-time system response for the ASR Mandi project.
•	Review system designs and tune the acoustic and language models in the ASR pipeline to improve the performance of the speech recognizer.
•	Record and maintain financial transactions of the project and coordinate with institute account ledger for the transaction management.
•	Development and maintenance of design guides and other documentation.

Doctoral Researcher

University of Hyderabad

I was a part of a two-member student team on a summer internship project working on the maximum lifetime target coverage problem (MLTCP) in wireless sensor networks. In this work, we provided new insight into MLTCP by studying the structure of polyhedral feasible set and proposed a heuristic that distinguished hard instances from solvable cases. The team's project outcome led to a research paper at ICDCN'15.

Hello, I am Trideba. I have graduated with a PhD in engineering in February 2020 from the Dept. of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, India. The research focus of my thesis was on signal processing for active control of acoustic noise. During this period, I was also a research fellow in the Mandi ASR phase-II consortium project- "Speech based access of agricultural commodity prices and weather information in 12 Indian languages" sponsored by TDIL, MeitY, Govt. of India from November 2014 to June 2018.

Subsequently after my PhD, I was a post doctoral fellow for 2 years, up to March 2022 at the dept. of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Stellenbosch University, South Africa working on the development of keyword spotting systems in Malian languages for the United Nations to support their humanitarian efforts in Africa.

Since April 2022, I am working as a principal applied scientist in the Oracle AI speech science team based in Rennes, France, on research problems and software development particularly related to acoustic modeling and ASR.

My research interests include signal processing for active noise control, speech and language processing and speech recognition for low-resource languages.
