Managed the "Jacquard by Google" mobile app and its connected "smart tag" wearable device.
Open sourced the underlying Jacquard SDK.
Built a Google Find My Device proof of concept feature.

Impacted because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Improving VehicleIQ, a vehicle health information service concept, delivered via kiosks with hand-held OBD II scanners inside. VehicleIQ is meant to empower drivers with objective, preventative, and predictive insights about their vehicles and connects them to options for a better path to resolution through an interactive health report and access to a service partner ecosystem.

Working in Shell's Global Commercial Digital Ventures Group to usher in and grow the next generation connected car and aftermarket ecosystem concepts for drivers, their vehicles and participating service providers and retailers. 

This project explored advances in O2O (Online to Offline) commerce, the convenience store of the future, digital full service gas stations and auto parts stores.

Working alongside and learning from the great people in Shell's Digital Ventures Group, addressing a variety of pressing global issues.

Helping Shell diversify their Global Commercial Division and reach their sustainability goals (GOAL Zero).

Experience working on VehicleIQ helped me get accepted into the Reforge Growth Series program, Spring 2020 Cohort.

Lead Product Manager - Consumer - Kiosk Tablet App

PRO Unlimited

Senior product manager in the HR Tech space for Wand, PRO Unlimited's contingent workforce platform for web and mobile. 

Helped to lead, launch and support key feature deliverables as well as underlying data feed and data integration initiatives, all while working within a complex configuration management infrastructure. 

These projects directly impacted a game-changing 2018 strategy to transform Wand into a subscription service available to any third party managed service provider. Clients include Nike, Netflix, Facebook, Goldman Sachs, KPMG, Genentech, AirBnB, and more.

Senior Product Manager - HR Tech - Web and Mobile

Laborlink

Report to head of engineering with mandate to rebuild MyLaborlink, a data insights dashboard for global retail brands and their suppliers to improve corporate social responsibility, in part with USAID funding.

Delivered MyLaborlink 2.0. It replaced a cryptic CMS with no deliberate user experience or business growth goals. Used Atlassian products to manage product development sprints and a backlog. Project managed details while shepherding the roadmap. 

Oversaw a new site design and new invite and registration system for users.
Devised a notifications strategy to improve communication with users. 
Introduced aggregate metrics and factory worker survey KPIs to the MyLaborlink dashboard.
Managed several usability studies.

Delivered better and more simple experiences on Laborlink IQ, Laborlink's internal data management platform. Improved data cleaning dashboard, data publishing workflow, messaging, and UI standardization. Introduced worker survey falsification and response coaching detection feature in partnership with Data Scientist. 
 
Mentored programmers, data analysts, and operations team in design thinking practices. 
Created personas to keep teams focused on who our products serve and what their actual problems are.

Laborlink was incubated at Fair Trade USA in Oakland, CA with funding assistance from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Laborlink collects and then translates workplace signals into actionable insights for retail brands and suppliers. Laborlink is changing the supply chain sourcing and compliance paradigm, and changing supplier behavior to be more effective.

Since 2010, Laborlink reached more than 1 million people working in the factories of the world's largest apparel and electronics retailers, like The Walt Disney Co., Levi's, ASOS, West Elm, Eileen Fisher, and Vodafone, in countries like China, India, Bangladesh, Mexico and The United States.

Laborlink was successfully acquired by ELEVATE Global in Summer 2017.

*Boardspan* is a platform and content site for board directors. Launched Boardspan's alpha. Focused on several core features, including board member and candidate profiles, assessment wizard, content library and LinkedIn profile integration. I headhunted the company's first CTO and conducted technology stack and business model analysis.

*Metrodigi* is a digital publishing platform. I led a UX analysis project for their publishing tool, Chaucer and presented insights to the executive team. Added accessibility functionality for the eBook version of Pearson's 10 best selling textbooks.

*Canvis* helps people in the construction industry manage their project images collaboratively. First product manager hired. Led an early customer product validation project. Created original wireframes for their iOS mobile app. Improved the quality of our releases when I introduced internal bug test fests.

At *C9, Inc.*, led UX research for its data-driven sales analytics and forecasting software. Facilitated an executive design sprint that provoked hard conversations and elicited praise.

At *Prezi*, launched the PowerPoint import feature. Led a targeted usability testing project and delivered insights for designers and executives to high praise.

Delivered the requirements and roadmap plan to re-brand and launch MindManager for Android, increasing our reach and impact to a new platform.

Built the user research practice from scratch, transforming the company into a more user-centered organization.

Interfaced with an average of 15 participants per month.

In my first role as a product manager I helped launch Mindjet’s co-editable mind mapping web application, turning the company into a cross-platform collaboration solution. Trained and rallied sales and marketing teams prior to launch. Served as liaison to contracting Flash design and implementation firm.
