Áine started out as an Occupational Therapist, but when a serious car accident took away her ability to do the "down-on-the-floor" therapy work with her paediatric clients that she loved so much, she decided to go down the academic route to further her career, culminating with her PhD in Population Health Research through the prestigious SPHeRE Program, funded by the Health Research Board. She is the only Occupational Therapist in Ireland to have won a place on this program!

Áine went on to set up her own business, Radiance Consulting, offering Supervision, Coaching and Supervision Training services to Allied Health professionals, which grew from strength to strength. However, the incredibly positive feedback from clients in that space made her realise that her highly transferable clinical skills could add significant value for individuals and businesses in the private sector. 

Áine then went on to gain her qualifications in Business & Executive Coaching from the UCD Smurfit Business School and has been steadily growing a very successful Coaching & Workplace Wellbeing services business, with equally positive feedback from her corporate clients!

Over the past couple of weeks, we have had the pleasure of participating in a series of training sessions delivered by Dr Áine O'Dea PhD from Radiance Consulting,  a consultancy dedicated to improving workplace accessibility, supporting neurodiversity, and empowering organisations to create environments where everyone can thrive.
 
We were fortunate to experience both virtual and in-person sessions, with Áine covering topics such as:

-Navigating Assistive Technologies
 
Each session was insightful, engaging, and filled with practical strategies. Áine created a safe, open and supportive learning space,  encouraging questions, reflection, and shared experiences. Her expertise and delivery made complex topics feel accessible and relatable, and her guidance gave us tools not only to better support neurodivergent candidates, but also techniques we can integrate into our own daily routines.
 
We are grateful to Áine for her time, knowledge and warmth throughout the sessions. It has been a pleasure collaborating and we are already looking forward to the next opportunity to learn together again!

This event was a brilliant experience from start to finish - it was my first ever tradeshow and the scale of it was mind-boggling, plus I got to meet and talk to OTs from all over the world that I might never have had the chance to meet otherwise!
