I have a strange background: At 22 years old, I was an English major at a party school and not sure what I was going to do with my life. A year later, thanks to strategic networking, I was writing the President's words at the White House.  After working as a Writer in the Clinton White House, I went on to serve as a Speechwriter in the California Governor's Office during the Davis Administration. 

I was also a practicing lawyer in Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Bay area, and I started the Smart Business Revolution podcast in 2011. Before long, I was generating more revenues from the podcast and associated blog than I did from my legal practice, so I became a full time entrepreneur and haven't looked back. 

My writing has appeared in Forbes, Lifehacker, The Huffington Post, Business Insider, Art of Manliness, Entrepreneur and many more.  

Here's my take on the world of business: it's all about building relationships. The #1 most important thing that will determine your ultimate success or failure in business is your relationships. 

First, you have to learn how to build great relationships. That comes first. And a podcast helps you do it.
