Dom then founded Fearless Adventures alongside partners David Newns and Charlie Yates to invest in and drive growth in leading entrepreneur-led e-commerce businesses.

A mental health advocate, Dom is passionate about using not only his capital, but his first-hand experiences to support founders on their journeys to the peaks of success.

In 2024 Dom published his debut book “I’m Never Drinking Again”

Over the last 48 hours the news about Grace Beverley and her business TALA losing £2.5m has shown everything I dislike about the UK press.

Why aren’t we congratulating Grace for taking risks and growing a company during one of the most difficult Marco environment we’ve seen in many years.

She’s grown revenue almost 20% to just under £20m.

£2.5m loss can be caused by many reason.

Grace remains a shining star of British entrepreneurship and in my opinion is an incredible example to young women all across the country.

There’s something about this country which just waits to see people fail and people seem to love it.

This is our biggest cultural problem we face in the Uk.

We need to celebrate success and not get jealous.

Well done Grace keep doing what you’re doing and I’m sure you’ll figure out the answers.

Living with Peri-Menopause makes recruitment look like a walk in the park

Whether its the battle with brain fog (which is SO disorientating and scary, dare I say?)

Disrupted sleep when the progesterone dips (thank god for HRT)

Or in my case, irregular periods which come when they feel like it (every two weeks at the moment yeahhhhh!) so add anaemia, fatigue and bloating to the LONG list of the 70+ "Hidden" symptoms some women face

As one of life's oversharers, I talk about this to every one i meet and YES THIS INCLUDES MEN 

NOT to make anyone feel uncomfortable with my TMI ...

But to make everyone aware that every women may face some or indeed all of these symptoms in daily life and by talking about it openly, I hope to lose any stigma for ALL women to feel safe enough to talk openly about their health - esp if it is affecting their ability to do their job on that day or all days.

Menopause affects everyone, including men and age isn't a factor.

Today is my DIVORCE-versary 👏 

(my 2nd one,- 1st was 25 years ago! 

8 years since I tore the letter open to confirm my 13 yrs of marriage to the father of my daughters (and partner of almost 20 yrs) was officially over.

And whilst plenty of you may never experience this life event, there will be some of you who have done, are currently doing so, or may not know yet that they are about to... (yikes)

I post this here because having been divorced twice (1st marriage, lasted 7 months and 2 days before he walked out and fell into the bed of a stripper whom he later had a baby with... I had to wait until the 12 months of marriage was up before I could file for divorce... how rude) I believe that there are a number of ways to experience what divorce means

For some its really amicable where there is an acceptance of the relationship having run its natural course and both parties are happy to agree to split.

For some, it is acrimonious where there is so much toing and froing that the only people who benefit are the lawyers.

For me, this divorce-versary wasn't easy as the news my husband was secretly gay floored me and juggling running the business, bringing up our daughters (then only 12 and 9) whilst keeping going for my own sanity AND having just decided to go sober was a challenging period of my life.

I remember saying to people during the year of divorce from Matt that I was allowing myself to grieve properly.

No, noone had died but when you get divorced, whatever the circumstances are, you have both got to come to terms with your planned life trajectory is over.

I dont like to use terminology like "failed marriage" as nothing is a failure if you dont learn from it.

Yes I lost a lot- my divorces combined have cost me a small fortune as well as the near breakdown I had halfway through my divorce to Matt caused by the overwhelming process of trying to buy my own house (I didnt want to stay in the family home) as well as all the above. * I have posted about this before and may post about how I overcame it again

And despite the circumstances, you seek the positives- for me it was always two glorious, incredible daughters and some amazing experiences we had as a family.

I share this here, (ironically on what would have been my parents wedding anniversary, who married 54 yrs ago and their marriage lasted 49 yrs until dad passed away) for anyone who is currently going through the process of divorce to remember this:

Allow yourself to feel the grief.

Please don't ever use your children as pawns and trust me, they are watching HOW you behave as well as what you say about your soon to be ex partner. 

As my daughters are now adults, they have often commented how dignified I was during that time and how compassionate/kind I was to their dad. All what they saw, not by what I said, if that makes sense?

Compromise and communication will ensure a must less expensive result. 

Make time for yourself and above all else put your well being first! 💜

Humbled is a wonderfully grounded feeling and one that ensures you never get complacent or lazy

Esp when it comes to consistently posting my ramblings - oops I mean insights and thought leadership LOL- on here.

May I give some simple advice?

Post as if you were speaking out loud to your colleague about the topic that you are passionate about; be colloquial as this how you authenticate your true voice and it should then allow you to flow with what you write. 

Do it once, then do it again and repeat; make it as important in your daily schedule as calling a client for feedback etc.

What does Kevin de Bruyne have to do with recruitment? ⚽️ 

in 2012, De Bruyne struggled to find a regular spot in the starting 11 for Chelsea, eventually being put on loan and then sold 😔 

By 2015, De Brruyne signed with (the greatest football team to come from manchester) Man City and during his tenure he won multiple premier league titles and established himself as a pivotal player for the team. 🏆 

Ok, non football fans back in the room.... 😅 

When a recruiter joins a company, they aren't guaranteed success there. This is FACT (otherwise I would have no job and there wouldn't be 765 r2r operating in Manchester right now LOLS) 😂 

And my role as R2R is to find their Man City; to really uncover their full potential to allow them to be in an environment where their brilliance is unleashed and they don't just succeed, they thrive in a stride that was always there but needed to be in the right business.

I had the pleasure of taking Dina Cottier on this exact journey in 2025. She had joined a search firm who presented themselves brilliantly throughout the interview process to her but the reality of day to day life? She hid her true self, she could not flourish in a company where she was not encouraged to think freely and empower her to grow her desk. 🥇 

We got there; thanks to a wonderfully receptive and thorough process with Re-Culture Agency  and Sarah O'Brien  being totally transparent with Dina: it is now a very different tale. Dina is shining within the business and externally with their clients.

I didn't want to post this to be boastful or embarrass Dina or her previous employer. 

I wanted to post this because someone reading it is also feeling unsafe where they are: FRUSTRATED because they know that deep down they should be doing better- winning more business... MAKING MORE MONEY for themselves and their employer. 💷 

There is a cliche that if you do the same thing over and over and expect different results it is the definition of madness. 🤷‍♀️

You have to do something to change, to alter the opportunity and if you have exhausted all those options within your existing company then this is when you need to explore.

Does that make sense? 

Has anyone else like Dina had a mare of a move and then transformed their career in a BRILLIANT way? I want to shine a light on success stories!

(and hope my fellow Man City fans appreciated the analogy) 🩵

And statistically as today is officially 𝐁𝐋𝐔𝐄 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐃𝐀𝐘, this post is meant to resonate with a lot of you as the most depressing monday of the whole year

I am here to say thats utter drivel and theres no need to ever feel like that about your job, yep, seriously...

Life is way to short to spend week after week dreading coming into work; not thriving in what you do for most of your waking hours, not having fire in your belly about your day ahead.

Please don't waste your life thinking things will change where you are if promise after promise is broken.

You know what to do....
