Money in peoples pockets is much better to grow the economy then having it centralised and wasted in government.

This is the same for fiscal drag, bringing more and more people into high tax bracket.

In this country, success is punished by higher taxes.

The most important decision you make in your life is who your partner is.

You spend the most of your time with them

They raise a child with you

They become your main support system.

This year is our 10th Valentines Day together.

In that time I’ve scaled a company from 20 people to over 250.

Navigated a pandemic running that business 

Exited that company.

Rolled the dice and went again starting another business. 

All while knowing I’ve got someone in my corner who’s my biggest cheerleader.

There’s no way I could do any of this, and raise a child without the support she brings.

Relationships are team games and my advice to anyone is to make sure you have the best player possible on your team.

As someone who has been vocal over ways I personally believe Labour & Keir Starmer could have chosen different policies to drive growth in the UK, I deeply believe that his time is almost up.

But, this is a warning, in the last 12 months - even thought economic activity hasn't been as positive as I believe it could be we've had stability which has allowed businesses to plan and look at ways they can grow.

To now throw a potential PM contest and undoubtedly another general election and ruin that stability is not worth it.

Keir Starmer is the best of the current bad bunch, largely because he has the electoral mandate to govern.

No one else, not Angela Raynor, Not Andy Burnham, Not Wes Streeting hold that mandate - given to him through a democratic process.

I believe, it's in our best interest as a nation to have stability and not take this country down a dangerous path.

Because I promise you, what is currently waiting in the wings is significantly worse than what we current have.

If Keir was forced out, we would have had 6 Prime Minister in as many years.

No company that has 6 CEO's in 6 years would be in a good shape with any long term vision. 

I believe I use my voice to state what I think is best for us all, right now that is standing by our current PM.

UK Unempolyment has hit a 5 year high.

An increase of 0.1%

In this article, I showcase how 0.1% cost the UK taxpayer at least £540m per year.

While it doesn't feel like a lot 0.1% is signifcant.

Especially as the direction of travel is only one way.

Unless we make radical changes, we are going to continue to see this figure raise.

The losers in all this, are young people. 

The increase in mininum wages, raise of NI and growth of AI have seen young people lose out. 

Because a lot of people see young people as a risk when hiring and currently the cost isn't worth the risk.

We've had over 2,000 people apply to be an apprentices. 

From the data I've analysed

The youngest is 16 years old.

The oldest was 49 years old.

The average (mean) age was 22 years old.

~33% have graudate degrees.

The average candiate has 2 years relevant industry experience. 

So far we have almost 25 Businesses taking apprentices but we need more.

The problem, some people still think that apprentices are there to make cups of coffee and fetch lunches.

Those applicants I have talked to, they've got skills which businesses are crying out for.

Especially in social media, content creation and podcasting. Young people are ahead of the industry in many sectors, every business needs to be look at how they bring in younger people into their marketing, comms and operations - as they are the individuals with skills businesses need to adapt to AI and our content lead world.

My advice to all businesses... Hire an apprentice this year!

Last week Hollie started working with me as an apprentice.

A lot of people think an apprentice is someone who spends the first few months making teas in the office and adding little value.

That perception is totally wrong.

Because here’s the truth: if you’ve got a phone and someone who knows how to use it, you can build a serious content engine.

No fancy studio.
No expensive camera kit.
No complicated set-up.

A modern content team can be:
A smartphone
A simple plan

Someone with taste, consistency, and the confidence to press record

That’s it.
And apprentices are perfect for this moment.

They’re digital natives. They learn fast. They’re coachable. They’re hungry. 

When you give them real responsibility, not pretend tasks, they can start producing outputs that move the needle within days.

Which matters, because zoom out for a second.

In the UK we’ve got around 1,000,000 young people who are NEET, not in education, employment, or training.

That’s not just a statistic.

That’s a million futures on pause.

 A million people losing confidence and momentum.

 A million people who could be learning a skill, earning a wage, and building a career right now.

And while that’s happening, most businesses I speak to are saying the same thing.

We need more content.
We need better content.
We don’t have the time.
We can’t afford a full team.
You don’t need a full team.

You need a phone and someone who knows how to use it.

And you need the willingness to back a young person properly.

Give them structure
Give them training
Give them standards
Give them feedback
Give them reps
Give them belief

That’s why I’m excited to work with Hollie.

SEO Tip!

LLMS do not directly render content themselves, some like Google gemini may use a web rendering service or headless browser.

To see what an LLM can see of your website do the following:

1. Open a URL you want to check

2. Press F12 to Open Chrome Devtools / Code Inspection

3. Click ELEMENTS tab and then press CTRL + SHIFT + P

4. In the search box type Java and click DISABLE javascript

5. Refresh the page

6. Back in Devtools click the CONSOLE tab and then paste this code in and press enter:
console.log(document.body.innerText);

This will show you all the OUTPUT text that an LLM would have access to without having to render anything.

What you can also do:

Do the above and copy the output to a TEXT file and save it.

Then repeat the process above SKIPPING disabling javascript and save the output TEXT file to another file.

Then drop both text files into chatGPT / Claude / Gemini and ask it to compare the outputs and highlight what is missing.

This allows you to find any content that may be missing.

SEO Tip!

Should you rewrite TITLE TAGS that are too short or too long? The answer is YES and NO.

The decision to rewrite a title tag to lengthen OR shorten it should be made on its relative CTR performance.

I've often found SEO audits just arbritarily tell people to "shorten" or "lengthen" a title tag because of pixel width - in reality, Google often rewrites titles if they are too short or long.

So - what you should do is:

1. Export your lists of title tags (too short / too long) into a Google sheet

2. In another tab in the same spreadsheet add exported Google Search Console data for the last 16 months

3. Use VLOOKUP to match the URL against it's CTR to see what the CTR looks like - i.e.
1 Tab should be for your long/short page titles
1 Tab should be your exported search console data

then in a column next to your TITLE TAGS use:
=IFERROR(VLOOKUP(A2,'GSC Click Data'!$A$1:$DM$32460,4,FALSE),"-")

Ensure your tab for search console data is called "GSC Click Data"

4. Apply conditional formatting to the column (ensure you select the CTR column and click  FORMAT > NUMBER > PERCENT 

5. Then apply conditional formatting where:
< 1% = RED
1% - 3% = ORANGE
3% + GREEN

This way you can have a colour indicator.

6. Select the first ROW then click the DATA MENU > Create a Filter

7. Duplicate your sheet, then on the CTR filter, apply <1 % and focus on rewriting those titles


I would generally rewrite a title to:

Convey CLEAR OFFERING
Use exact / partial match query
Use 1 GSC query or variant

- in many cases you don't need brand in your title tags.

SEO Tip

See how many of your pages links are NON JS / Hydrated via JS. This is important - it gives you a feel for how many static hyperlink routes exist from a page without rendering required

This script will show you the URL, whether it's a JS/NON JS link and its position within the page along with a summary

Good technical SEO is CRUCIAL in 2026 and will continue to be important - not all LLMS will make requests that involve rendering via WRS / headless browser i.e. Pupeteer - it's good to understand what your pages link profile looks like

To see what your page internal links look like:

1. Hit F12 to open DevTools

2. Click CONSOLE 

3. Copy and paste the code below and hit enter and viola! You'll see what your NON JS / JS links look like as well as their location breakdown
