Too many smart people in tech are quietly burning out.

I saw it everywhere and eventually, I realised it was happening to me too.

Over six years ago, I hit my own wall.

On paper, things were going well; solid projects, a good reputation, dependable results. But underneath, I was drained and quietly asking myself: Is this how it’s meant to be?

That question changed everything.

I stepped back, paid attention to what was helping and what wasn’t, and began rebuilding from the inside out. Over time, some clear patterns emerged. How I thought, how I acted, what mattered to me, how I managed my energy, and what helped me keep going.

That’s what eventually became the MOVES Framework.

Most of the tech professionals I meet today are smart, capable, and driven, but quietly running on empty.

They’ve done everything right: built strong careers, earned respect, delivered results. Yet the spark that once fuelled them has faded, replaced by restlessness or fatigue.

They don’t need another productivity trick.

They need space to breathe, clarity about what matters, and a way to make progress that lasts.

That’s what my work is about.

The MOVES Framework: Mindset, Ownership, Values, Energy, and Sustain, is a practical, human roadmap for reconnecting with who you are, what matters most, and how you want to show up.

👀 Everyone was staring at me in the supermarket car park.

Don’t worry… I was fully clothed this time.

I walked out of the shop pushing a trolley with 20 cases of Liquid Death.

That’s 240 cans of water.

They’re usually £18 a case but they were reduced to £1.

And before you roll your eyes at me for buying water in a can…

…it’s not because I’m “too good” for tap water. My body IS a temple but the temple’s been…well used.

I bought 240 cans of water because when I know they’re in the fridge, I actually drink water.

When I don’t I forget, get dehydrated and the temple gets even more neglected.

I say this ALL the time to our clients inside C2C:

Create the systems, environment + conditions that will make it more likely you’ll succeed.

Want more clients? 
Create systems + workflows that mean you know what you have to do every day. 

Want consistent income? 
Build habits that make it not just possible, but almost IMpossible to win.

You can keep telling yourself you’re gonna do the right things more consistently. Or you can put actual mechanisms in place to make it more likely.

Ask yourself now - what are you winging and what are you doing intentionally?

That means he misses 85% of the time.

And you know what he does?

Because he knows it’s not about perfection.

Perfection can’t be reached.
It’s about persistence.

One post flopping doesn’t matter.

Neither does one going viral.

What actually matters is this golden question:

Are you taking enough shots?
Or overthinking every f-cking move?

Every flop is feedback.

So stop crying over 4 likes.

And keep shooting.

Please.

As Wayne Gretzky said: You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take.
