The Six Inches in Front of Your Face:

I still can’t open my mouth very wide to eat, so I’m doing easy chew stuff like eggs or liquifying things in a blender. 

But day by day it’s slight progress, and that’s what matters.

I’ve also had a lot of time to think.

And right now, as I lay here wondering how the hell this all happened, I’m thinking of that Al Pacino speech in Any Given Sunday.

Because at the end of the day, it doesn’t matter why things are the way they are. 

It only matters if you’re willing to fight for the six inches in front of your face.

And you have do it every day.

Every minute.

And it’s hard AF. 

It never gets easier. 

But that’s what living a good life is about. 

It’s also what business is about.

Sacrifice. Pain. Sorrow. Joy. Celebration. Acknowledgment. Dedication. Team work. Mission. Problem-solving.

Respect yourself. 

Be proud of yourself. 

Even if sometimes you don’t feel that way.

That reframe is so important. It’s everything.

Be in service to others. 

Decrease your expectations on them. 

Divorce yourself from your expected outcomes.

It’s bigger than just you.
