India needs this law more than most countries.

Every few months we hear disturbing stories, someone stops medical treatment after watching a “miracle cure” online, or loses life savings after following a social-media “finfluencer.” People struggling with mental health are advised by self-proclaimed coaches who have never studied psychology.

Offline, these professions are regulated. Doctors need NMC registration, investment advisors need SEBI approval, and lawyers must be enrolled with the Bar Council of India.

But online, anyone with a phone and confidence can give advice to millions  with no qualifications or accountability.

With 800M+ internet users, misinformation spreads fast. Even the WHO called this an “infodemic.”

India needs laws requiring verified credentials for professional advice online. Lives and savings cannot depend on #unqualified #influencers.

Since the climate is changing, even February can be quite hot and sunny in north India. The ultraviolet rays can easily tan your skin. Use sunscreen, carry an umbrella, or plan your visit between December and January.

Otherwise, be ready to face the consequences.
