Transition from Directing the Human Capital area within the organization to offering HR services to external clients through a newly formed Business Unit.
Some of our current services include Organizational Surveys, Recruiting, Organizational Diagnosis, Training, and Organizational Development, among others.

Organized training in First Aid, Rescue and Evacuation, Fire Prevention, and Emergency Communication.

Led the employee suggestion program, answering employees within 1 working day and implementing suggestions within 3 working days when possible.

Reduced departmental turnover from 40% for the first 2 months of 2012 to zero.

Currently working in an organizational change project, which will involve changes to the rewards system, performance appraisal system, organizational structure and organizational culture.
As part of the aforementioned project, Í´m also working on specific indicators to mearure HR performance and position the HR department as a strategic partner for the various business units.

I started out as GTD Manager, training Directors and implementing David Allen's Getting Things Done (GTD) methodology. Shortly thereafter, I was promoted to Director of Corporate Development.
My frequent tasks included: Research and analysis on a wide array of topics, from a client's competitors and their products to financial, economical, and political factors impacting the various markets we were involved in, such as the Food Industry, Real Estate, Gaming, E-Commerce, Tourism, etc.
Conference calls with CEOs and top leadership from various industries across different continents (e.g., America, Europe, Asia).

Working with the Primary Care administrator and a Project Manager from Quality Resource Management, I was involved in the Healthcare Team (HCT) pilot project. The pilot was launched at 4 different sites with a total of 12 Healthcare Teams. This project involved a shift to a team-based approach for providing healthcare.
Such approach -which entailed a significant change in organizational culture- was expected to yield an improvement in satisfaction for both providers and patients. These teams now meet periodically, meetings include team members from different positions (e.g., physicians, nurses, clerks, supervisors, etc.), and decisions are made by reaching consensus with a strong emphasis on working as a team. Some of my principal activities during this project included: Giving Just-In-Time training in Quality Improvement tools to the HCTs.
Meeting with HCTs separately to provide more focused consulting support.
Development, administration, and analysis of a variety of surveys and questionnaires, often presenting the results to senior leadership at various meetings.
Meeting with the planning team -which I was a part of- to assess the project's progress and establish future plans of action.

Quality Resource Management Internship

I worked on the compensation system for the production area of the company, developed job descriptions, interviewed employees, elaborated an automated spreadsheet to summarize market comparisons for different positions, turnover analysis, cost of turnover, and return on investment. I periodically met with management to update them on the progress of the project and to exchange ideas on how to better use the gathered information for the benefit of the organization.

Internship

A business professional who transitioned to an organizational consulting career. My focus is not only on results, but also on the process used to achieve those results. This often allows for more sustainable solutions from a long-term perspective.
