It was the year 2017.

The doctor told my mom, “Your daughter has 3 days to live.”

I was diagnosed with Left Lung Tuberculosis. 

The scarring caused inflammation.

The inflammation caused swelling.

The swelling was obstructing my heart to pump. 

I was going to die. 

I thought about my 4-year-old daughter. I could not leave her alone at this young age. My innocent little baby's eyes were staring at me, with tears and fear. 

I told my mom – “Ma, I don’t want to die.”

Surgery saved my life. 

A year of medication followed – side effects like swollen feet, constant fatigue, breathless even while speaking and increased weight. )1st pic)

I lost my job. My confidence. Myself. My VOICE. 

My daughter saw me weak, physically and mentally.

I couldn’t let her down – so I fought back!

I recovered. Spoke to myself like I was a queen even when all I could see in the mirror was an ugly weak woman with no light in her eyes. 

2 years later - Magic happened. 

In 2019, I won Mrs. India International and Mrs. Global International, in Dubai and Philippines amongst 30 other women (2nd pic). 

I learnt – Words HEAL. 

I learnt – Your voice HEALS you.

And most importantly, I learnt – You HEAL You!
