As a node of the startup centre Worldfactory at Ruhr-University Bochum, CUBE 5 supports cybersecurity startups in developing their business models and increasing their business impact. 

Tasks in the role of transfer manager include, e.g. 
* Support and advice for those interested in founding a company
* Evaluation of the existing formats, further and new development of the offers to support start-up projects among students
* Conception of a continuation strategy
* Initiation of contact with investors, coaching for addressing investors, support with applications for capital acquisition, advice and evaluation of BMBF applications
* Building a network with companies, investors, incubators and mentors
* Internal communication with students, doctoral candidates, professors and practitioners
* Organization of events (e.g. summer schools, seminars, lecture series and workshops on start-up know-how)
* Conception, implementation and support of new (digital, hybrid) event formats
* Alumni and fundraising activities
