• Collaborated with the CTO and the product team to design software solutions to key business and technical problems. Develop and deliver technical design docs, plans, and roadmaps.
• Introduced Agile practices in the team and allocate project work to your team as part of an agile/scrum process. Represent the team in planning and product meetings.
• Led projects through all phases of software development from inception to maintenance both for internal products and clients.
• Mentored developers through pair programming, in-depth workshops, tech lunches, and simple chats.
• Hiring manager for the team, screening candidates and conducting interviews.
• Coached my full stack team of 7 people with different skill levels, advised on their career development, conducted regular 1:1s and gave ongoing performance evaluations and feedback.
• Planned, designed and implemented the creation of a design system for our products loosely based on Atomic Design collaborating with Product and UX teams.
• Supervised and executed the automation of bulk website creation and migration that led to a 70% improvement on the time of online websites
• Led the introduction and the implementation of a smart imaging server using Thumbor across the whole company.
• Introduced coding standards (both for PHP and JavaScript) for our codebase and enforced the usage using PHP_CodeSniffer and ESLint together with pre-commit hooks.
• Attained to have experiments time for the time to work on improving the existing codebase and reducing technical debt.
• Prioritization and allocation decisions in an agile environment leading the sprint work, including the administrative aspects.
• Ensure that the important work gets done and the team’s workloads are reasonable. Define goals and timelines, unblock obstacles, address questions and challenges that arise so your team can focus. Ensure all team members have what they need to succeed, including a proper work/life balance.

Engineering Manager

• Refactoring, architecture design, and implementation of a PHP application packed as a WordPress plugin, that act as a middleware for the DriveK API and WordPress.
• Developed a model to implement a related cars algorithm: I tested several similarity algorithms (Euclidean distance, Cosine similarity, Pearson correlation coefficient) and found the best balance between performance and relevance.
• Reduced the time spent in deployment by 50% by implementing several deploy scripts in Python.
• Introduced a base template for Engineering design doc in the team, and led the documentation 
• Created a Content repository to dispatch content towards several multisite, using WordPress REST API, with a Pub-Sub pattern.
• Devised, together with the Devops team, a procedure to streamline deploy of our application across ~50 WordPress installations using Ansible and Composer.

• Developed themes for WordPress, mainly using a framework designed and developed in-house.
• Developed a tool to migrate data from a forum based helpdesk (PHPbb) to a SaaS solution (Zendesk).
• Customized a WordPress membership plugin adding the handling of recurring payments using PayPal API.

3. Byte - Our design subscription which gives you unlimited designs with a 48hr turnaround and fixed fee. This ideal for early-stage SaaS working on their MVP who are managing their product strategy in-house and need design support that doesn’t break the bank. This plan does not include meetings and does not have a set designer assigned to your team.
