The automated provisioning onboards new nodes into a Rancher cluster as either the Main node or Agent node(s) establishing the initial kubernetes cluster and initial Filebeat application for the cluster.

Support terraform repositories for cloud infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and Azure.

Support maintaining and troubleshooting kubernetes cluster including pod issues, secret generation, helm deployments, etc.

Scripted client setup for Kibana via Elastic APIs. The app was built in python and deployed to our GCP kubernetes cluster.

Supported upgrading versions of Terraform and Kubernetes across our infrastructure. Managed manual EKS cluster upgrades and semi automated GKE cluster upgrades. Managed monthly maintenance process of our client nodes to ensure linux upgrades were kept up to date and deployed.

Built custom prometheus exporter for ServiceNow and Onspring integration API. This was written in python and exported alerting telemetry into our prometheus and alertmanager apps.

Designed and implemented streamlined simulation engine for internal contract simulation using EC2, AWS Lambda, Terraform, and Python.

Automated EC2 provisioning for streamlined simulation using Terraform and its UserData which pulls a custom Bash script from S3 to properly provision the EC2 instance. The provisioner script queries against AWS DynamoDB for production information and in turn pulls the proper cookbook artifacts onto the EC2 instance and executes the custom provisioner script.

Developed the Jupyter Notebook user interface for the Analyst team that interact with the streamlined simulation engine. This notebook creates an abstraction layer to allow for user inputs into tables that dynamically update and push information to the background Python (Pandas) application.

Designed and implemented automated regression testing system for streamlined simulation engine which runs on Jenkins worker nodes during automated builds using Python and MySQL.

Designed and implemented coordination APIs for automated processes using Python and AWS Lambda.

Designed and implemented Jenkins and DynamoDB integration for tracking our project versioning. Records are created and updated in DynamoDB by Jenkins upon successful builds and deploys.

Develop and maintain enterprise level contract simulation engines using PySpark and EMR. The application pulls data from S3 and has roughly 20 steps submitted to the EMR cluster via Lambda functions. The application(s) process data via PySpark and store the information in HDFS while processing then ultimately pushes the data, as Parquet, to S3. This application produces our monthly billing results.

Automated report generation for weekly billing QA checks for our analyst team which is ran against our PySpark simulation engine and pushes results to S3 and Slack.

Refactored our automated Jenkins builds from using Grunt (node.js) to using Bash. This reduced the overhead of our projects and streamlined the local development process.

I obtained statewide datasets from several Secretary of State offices across the nation, massaged the data with Python and imported it into Postgres. I maintained this database of several million records to create seven new datasets in our production application.

I am part of the team that doubled our production datasets in a two month period.

I harvested three years of decennial census data (1990, 2000 and 2010) and loaded them into Postgres. I was part of the team who created the queries to pull down the decennial data from its raw format into useable tables and materialized views.

I use QGIS and Postgres/PostGis on a daily basis to QA, clean and analyze our current and new datasets. I also use Git on a daily basis for storing our scripts and knowledge share.
