In 1999 I was a sales leader for SYSCO Denver.

I was doing pretty well, but saw that there was an imbalance.

I had the blood, sweat and tears and my managers had nice cushy offices with pictures of beach vacations.

- I was making $80k/year working 60 hours/week
- They were making $250k at 30 hours/week
- And, SYSCO was a $30B/year company

I realized then and there that I wanted a better lifestyle, so my entrepreneurial adventures began.


The path to success has never been easy. 

In 2003, after 15 years of heavy drinking, I was able to get sober.


That’s an important part of my story, because I learned that alcohol isn't the problem.

It’s what I used to cope with the REAL problem... my thinking.

If we can master our mindset, we can design a beautiful life.


I've built 2 multimillion dollar companies and managed dozens of teams.

The first was a Rare Coins and Precious Metals Company, which was my greatest teacher and changed my life forever.

It taught me that if we don’t manage our minds, life becomes very difficult.

And, even if we make some money, we’re struggling in other areas like our relationships or health.


No matter how successful we become, if we’re not masters of our minds, we’re not as successful as we could be.

I’ve coached some of the highest level leaders and entrepreneurs to master their minds, scale their businesses and build beautiful lives.


It’s never an easy process, but well worth the effort.

And, with the right guidance, it’s MUCH easier.


In 2021, I realized that Linkedin is much more than just a job posting platform, so I decided to build a brand and business on here which has transformed my life!

And, I help others do the same.

- I have an investment education/management company
- I now have 185,000 Linkedin followers (350,000 total)
- I live on the Caribbean Sea in Playa Del Carmen, MX

Marketing and branding are changing in real time.

We’ve all been there. 
When the wheels come off.
And, everything falls apart.

You have the perfect project plan, the team 
is aligned, and the finish line is in sight. 

Then... BOOM!!! 
Your best client quits, a technical bug 
wipes a week of work, or the market 
shifts overnight. 

The wheels haven't just wobbled... 
they’ve completely come off.

In these high-pressure moments, 
your leadership isn't defined by the 
crisis itself, but by your internal 
operating system...
By your response to the crisis.

Most people fall into one of three categories:

1/ The Reactor
 ↳ Feels the chaos and amplifies it
 ↳ Makes fast, emotional decisions 
just to feel in control
 ↳ Focuses on putting out fires instead 
of finding the root cause

2/ The Pretender
 ↳ Acts like nothing is wrong
 ↳ Pushes harder on a broken strategy

 ↳ Step back, breathe, think
 ↳ Ten calm minutes can save ten chaotic days

2/ Audit the Damage, Not the Blame
 ↳ This is not the moment to find a scapegoat
 ↳ Get clear on what actually happened
 ↳ Facts first, feelings second

3/ Establish the New Baseline
 ↳ The old plan is gone
 ↳ Accept reality fast
 ↳ Build forward from what is true now, 
not what “should” have happened.

Character is not built in a crisis.
It is REVEALED in the crisis.

The best leaders are not the ones who never fall.
They are the ones who can steady themselves 
faster than everyone else.

First, what is Emotional Intelligence?

It’s the ability to understand and 
manage your own emotions…

AND to recognize and influence 
the emotions of others.

It’s emotional discipline + social awareness.

When I started my Corporate career, I was just getting a job. 

Yup, a job to take care of my family. 

Slowly, it became a financial pursuit. 

As I got older, I realised that working hard won't get me the money. 

I started investing into stocks. 

Well, got burnt many times however it made me smarter and avoid certain theme stocks. 

As I gotten more savvy about finance, I got greedy. 

Yes, who isn't if there is a chance to get super returns. 

I guess what I have got was super stupidity. 

Guess that's Life, and we learn to rebound from it.

Just like Entrepreneurship,  no one will be there to teach us everything. 

Sometimes, we stumble. We don't get it right all the time. 

At least we tried. 

Happy Lunar New Year and with the Horse cometh, it will be my 7th year of this entrepreneurship.

Will I get better, only Time will tell.

At 54 years old, I don't ask for more. 

Steady business and health to see through the growth of my daughter

Don't we wish for many things. 

Wealth, smooth career path, health and many other reasons.

Wishing is one thing.....Living it is another.

Same as an entrepreneur. 

You may not want to spend your Life chasing after money and success, that you forgotten to Live your Life.

Sometimes, we may wish for many things however ultimately, only one thing remains true. 

Your family and You.

1 cent nugget - Keep on Going

As I sit by the road side near Frankfurt, I had  an urge to start looking at my handphone.

Yup, checking emails and see if there are any important messages.

I knew I had colleagues who had taken care of almost everything. 

This is so Corporate, I remembered telling myself. 

As an entrepreneur, it is difficult in the starting years. 

For me, 3 years is about being tough and difficult. 

The next 3 years was even harder. As I kept on grinding, I knew that everyone benefits afterall. 

My colleagues, clients and network. It is a friendly ecosystem for us all.

You will walk and fall as an Entrepreneur. 

When the time is right, have a sit. Be it by the roadside, kerb or maybe a stool.

Starting out is tough already and there is nothing more fearful, than to give up what we have started. 

Of course, there are some of us who have taken the entrepreneurial journey and went back to Corporate.

To me, thats amazing as these experiences will definitely be put to good use.

1 cent nugget - Where Does Your Path Go

As an entrepreneur, I have seen quite a number of new business owners burn out.

They tend to do everything themselves. 

Often than not, they ask around to find an answer and try their hands on the things.

In the end, time is spent and focus is lost. 

Worse still some tried and fail. Then they get in the experts which cost more. 

I am one of them. 

In the beginning, 6 years ago, I was the Head of IT, Finance, Marketing and Sales, Call Centre and also General Manager.

I did everything as I was new. 

It was really tough. 

Yes, I have learnt along the way however as my business grows, these functions eventually was given out to the experts.

Once we have chosen a path, my view now is to focus on them. 

How about You? 

Aren't you tired of doing everything and being Everything to Everyone. 

I have been there. 

Chart your path and focus on What you Do best. 

Leave the rest to the rest.
