In 2000, I was a sales leader at Sysco Denver and noticed that my Regional Sales Managers had nice big offices and pictures of fishing and beaches on their wall.


▪️ I was making about $80k working 60 hours
▪️ They made $200k working only 30 hours
▪️ And, Sysco was a $30B company


I realized then that I if I was going to put in the blood, sweat and tears, I wanted beach pictures and to make more of the $30B.

So, my entrepreneurial adventures began.


Over the last 24 years I have been part of many business ventures including building and scaling 2 multimillion dollar businesses.


One was a rare coin and precious metals business which I scaled from $0 to $3M in ARR with 25% net profit margins in less than 18 months.


The second is my current coaching business which has taken many twists and turns over the last 20 years.


I started as an addiction recovery coach in coffee shops and shared office spaces, and has since evolved to a multi-revenue-stream operation.


In 2022, I realized that Linkedin is more than just a posting or job site so I did A LOT of research and decided to go all in on building my personal brand and audience here on this platform.

Our kiddos are losing their ability to be creative.

99% of what makes us human can’t be automated.

And in today’s AI-driven world, that matters more than ever.

When I was growing up in the 70s and 80s, we made forts and out of picnic tables in the dirt.

We had to use our imagination with rocks and sticks and some plastic toys.

I'm not saying it was perfect and it would have been cool to have some of the technologies today, but we learned to be creative.

Then Atari came out, and then Nintendo, and then Apple, and the Commodore 64... 

Anyway... here we are in a new age. 

And, it's amazing! 

But have our kiddos lost their ability to be human?
To create something out of nothing?
To use their imagination?

 ↳ Show them how to listen, empathize, and be present

4/ Real-World Problem Solving
 ↳ Life happens off the screen
 ↳ Let them struggle, try, fail, retry, that’s how confidence is built

5/ Human Values
 ↳ Kindness
 ↳ Integrity
 ↳ Love

These never go out of style, no matter how advanced the tech gets

AI is powerful.
But humanness is irreplaceable.

We don’t build our future in the future.

(I hope they teach this in school)

We build it in the quiet choices we make today.
- Good or bad.
- Like it or not.

I learned that the hard way.
In my early twenties, I chose the easy path.
Drugs and alcohol
Comfort food.
No exercise.
No real goals.
Late nights.
Numbing out.
Telling myself I’d get it together “soon.”

I wasn’t thinking long term.
I was thinking about the next hit of comfort.
The next distraction.
The next excuse.

And life got hard.
Really hard.

My finances suffered.
My health declined.
My relationships fell apart.
My confidence vanished.

Every easy choice came back with interest.
The kind you don’t want to pay.

It took years to climb out of that hole.
One honest step at a time.
One day at a time.
One decision at a time.

Choosing water over alcohol.
Choosing exercise over excuses.
Choosing coaching and inner work over autopilot.
Choosing to build a life instead of hide from one.

Hard choices.
Repeated daily.
Quietly.
Without applause.

But that’s when everything began to change.
That’s when I learned what the science already knew.

I started my journey as a typist for an insurance investigation company. I was an elementary school administrative assistant, a legal secretary for an attorney, administrative assistant in the legal department of a hospital corporate office, and an administrative  assistant for the Louisville Metro Police Department, Crime Tip Line. From there my employment venture included time as a judicial secretary for the Bullitt Circuit Judge, and judicial secretary for two Bullitt District Judges. I decided to pursue part time employment and worked in the payroll department at Path Forward of Kentucky. After my retirement, I wanted to try something completely different and worked part time as a sales associate for a women's clothing boutique. I have enjoyed a variety of working environments and have met many wonderful people.

I am single, an avid reader, and an animal lover. I enjoy listening to music and my favorite genre is blues. I like going to concerts and my special place to visit and relax is the beach at Gulf Shores, Alabama. I enjoy reading self improvement books and participating in self improvement classes online. I enjoy Tai Chi class and going on walks with my dog.

I have experienced so much over the years and have met many wonderful people who have enriched my life.

I believe in loving life. Take lots of pictures, talk to strangers, say I love you. Do things you're afraid to do, because many of us die and nobody remembers one thing we did. Live your life and make it a best seller!
