My role involves supporting migrants as they travel to their final destinations. This starts with a review of their medical history including medical reports. I then determine their fitness to travel in consultation with the Migration physician. During travel I am responsible to provide any routine care they may require and respond to any emergencies. I am also responsible for hand over at the final destination and preparation of case reports.

I have participated in the design and review of workplace wellness programs for several organizations in Kenya including formulation of a policy that is in line with the organization's values . This has involved a risk assessment so as to prioritize interventions relevant for each organization. The scope of interventions has included nutrition programs, physical exercise programs, training in stress management, counselling and health talks. Periodic monitoring and review of the participants of the programs is a key aspect that serves to ensure that they receive any support that they may require to meet their goals. Input from participants has been invaluable in enriching these programs. 
I have championed making a business case for comprehensive wellness programs by demonstrating the cost of disease to organizations and a return on investment at the end of a period.
I have experience helping organizations integrate a Workplace wellness Policy  in their Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) policy as part of the SOLVE program provided by the international Labor Organization (ILO). This simplifies management of workplace wellness and enables organizations to meet their goals faster. This involves training of the OSH committee on the various tools that SOLVE provides.
I believe that employee health is the greatest asset that any organization has but unfortunately this is not reported in the financial statements.
