I don’t start with Amazon descriptions.
Most shoppers don’t either.

We look at the images and ask one thing:
𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘴𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘪𝘧𝘦?
You’ve got about 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 to make that happen.

We ran multiple rounds on this Storefront—same brand, different ways of showing up.

𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝘀: product-first. Pretty bottles, clean layouts… and a dead end.
My brain went: “𝘖𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘪𝘵’𝘴 𝘢 𝘥𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘬.” Then nothing. In beverages, good-looking product shots are table stakes.

𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱: we flipped the script to 𝙚𝙭𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚-𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙨𝙩.
Now I can picture it—where I’d drink it, when I’d reach for it, the moment it fits.

That’s the switch from “𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬𝘴 𝘣𝘦𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘧𝘶𝘭” to “𝘐 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.”

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗱 (𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀)
⤷ One-line promise up top that says what it is and why it matters.
⤷ Lifestyle context that sells the moment, not just the bottle.
⤷ Outcome tiles (energy, focus, calm… whatever’s true) that are scannable on mobile.
⤷ Proof early—reviews, badges, press—so confidence lands before the scroll.
⤷ Clear paths to shop (Shop Flavors • Build a Bundle • Find Your Fit) that move the journey forward.

If all I see is the container, I’ll keep scrolling.

When listings stall, it’s rarely because we can’t find terms to rank for.

💢 Can you guess one of the unsung perks of working with chef-level brains?

His take, verbatim:

Feel and smell… online. Chef logic. Respect.

But that’s just one slice of the audience. The other segments?
Parents. Home cooks. Food lovers. People who simply want to know exactly what they’re buying.

Across testing, we kept hearing the same two asks:
“𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵’𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵?” and “𝘊𝘢𝘯 𝘐 𝘨𝘶𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘰𝘵𝘰?”

So we got to work.
We redesigned, refreshed, and split-tested these main images—until data told us what shoppers clicked, not what we hoped they’d click.

Some concepts won, some didn’t.
But the winner is always the same: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀.

🚨 Your Amazon product images answer the what—what’s in it, what it does, why it matters.

But the how you communicate it? That’s what actually moves shoppers.

• Relentless consistency. Same voice and color language as your site—no “Amazon-only” personality.

Surprised—or not?

In most categories, you market to the person 𝘸𝘩𝘰 uses the product.
With kids brands, you market to the gatekeepers—parents and caregivers making decisions with their hearts and their analytical brains.

If you think a cute main image wins the click… we’ve tested it (a lot). It doesn’t.

These shoppers are juggling a million questions:
“It’s cute, but is it safe?”
“What’s actually in this?”
“Is it age-appropriate?”

Adults know what we can handle. For kids, parents go into maximum 𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙩𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙢𝙤𝙙𝙚.
They’re not just shopping—they’re evaluating risk.

So how do you win with hyper-cautious shoppers?
You show more. A lot more.

Whether it’s toys, snacks, drinks, crafts, or supplements, parents want to see it all before they click:

→ The form it comes in (powder, pouch, bottle, tablet)

🚫 The worst move on Amazon? 𝗖𝗼𝗽𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀.
Even if you sell in the same category to the same shopper.

It’s tempting to think: “𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴, 𝘐’𝘭𝘭 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵.”
Sure—you might 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸.
But the brand that wins the sale is decided by the product image stack.

Clicks are the baseline now. Designers are getting clever with main images—but “Add to Cart” happens lower on the page.

We just worked with Skin𝘳𝘦fit, a beauty brand in a crowded aisle.
Search the main keyword and page one looked identical—gorgeous packaging, eye candy everywhere.

The difference? Product stacks:
⤷ Some buried shoppers in text walls and jargon.
⤷ Others dropped a product photo and said, “you figure it out.”

We built a stack that actually sells.
✅ Shows the outcome, fast: softer, smoother skin on rough spots—KP bumps, strawberry legs, dry elbows/knees, cracked heels/feet.
✅ Proves the why: super-potent actives called out in-line—10% AHA + 2% BHA—plus hydrating cactus pear and shea butter, with eco/vegan/Made in USA trust badges.
✅ Removes friction: clear how-to-use (“glide to soothe”), where to use (target areas), and format benefits (travel-friendly stick vs. messy lotions/creams).
✅ Guides the next step: bold benefit tiles and potency icons that make the mobile “Add to Cart” feel obvious.

Your main image can be copied tomorrow.
 Your product stack—when it’s clear, specific, and tested—is uniquely yours.

Don’t chase lookalikes. Make yours the obvious choice in the category.

💢  Everyone’s stressing about getting clicks on Amazon…
But honestly? 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁.

A strong main image + solid PPC gets you in the door.
Amazon is one of the most-visited ecommerce platforms on the planet— which means:
⤷ For 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀: more choices.
⤷ For 𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘀: a chance to grab market share.

The costly mistake? Pouring thousands into ad spend before seeing your listing through the 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀.

𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲.
Cheap products get clicks (“let me see if it’s legit”).
 Legacy brands (think Braun) get clicks because trust runs deep.

𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲.
That’s where your product image stack earns its keep (or lets traffic slip away).

Your images should:
👉 Answer questions before they’re asked
👉 Kill objections clearly
👉 Show real life (not just a packshot on white)
👉 Move the shopper closer to Add to Cart with confidence

If your images aren’t doing that, you’re paying for traffic that won’t stick.

🚨 Still pinching myself that I got to speak at Amazon Accelerate.

I truly believe no one builds a bridge alone. Ever.

I could say it happened because we create some of the best-performing Amazon listings out there…but that’s not the full story.

Yes, doing great work matters.
The real reason this happened? 𝗥𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽𝘀.

👉 What’s included — set contents and dimensions.
👉 Why it’s different — thermoregulating, breathable fabric, self-cleaning properties.
👉 Lifestyle reassurance — 5-star hotel comfort at home.
👉 Comparison table — “Us vs. Them” to simplify the decision.
👉 Size guide — zero guesswork, fewer returns.

Minimal doesn’t mean bland. It means every pixel has a job: appetite where it helps (lux fabric, soft touch), and instant answers where it matters (sizes, features, care).

Design for the way people buy 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘳𝘺, not for what’s trending in another.

✨  Every Pixel Has a Job

🚩 There are two kinds of brand owners I meet on Amazon:

⤷ Those who want to explain every detail that makes their product special.
⤷ Those who believe the product should do the talking.

Both are passionate—they just show it differently. And you can see it instantly in their image stacks.

One camp loads images with information to build confidence.
The other keeps it minimal because their brand already has momentum.

There isn’t one “perfect” stack. What matters is building for your shopper and your goal.

For JIYU, the risk was going so minimal that marketing worked but the Amazon page didn’t—or overloading and creating friction. So we mapped each image to a single purpose based on what their ideal shopper needed to know:

And no, it’s not another AI chatbot that writes "catchy" ad copy.

Your media plan is a 200-line Excel file.

Your job? 
Manually translate it into 15 campaigns & 60 ad groups in Amazon DSP.

Click. Click. Copy. Paste.

It's tedious, it's slow, and you will make a mistake.

That entire workflow just died with this announcement

It’s an AI specialist that does the actual grunt work.

Amazon just started mailing $51 checks to 35 million people.
And most sellers are scrolling past this story.
That's a mistake.

Here's what actually happened:

The FTC proved Amazon used "dark patterns" to trick people into Prime subscriptions.

Buttons designed to confuse. 
Cancellation flows built to frustrate. 
Internal docs calling it "an unspoken cancer."

Amazon paid $2.5 billion to make it go away.

But here's what matters for anyone selling on the platform:

This isn't just a consumer protection story.
⤷ It's a signal.

Amazon's entire business model depends on friction working in their favor.
→ Not yours.

The same dark patterns that trapped consumers into Prime?
They exist in Seller Central too.

❏ Fee structures you can't fully understand. 
❏ Advertising dashboards designed to make you spend more. 
❏ Account health metrics that change without warning.

Amazon optimizes for Amazon.

Always has.

The sellers who thrive?
They stop expecting the platform to be fair & start treating it like the landlord it is.

✓ Use it. 
✓ Profit from it. 
✓ Build owned channels alongside it.

Because $51 per customer is what it costs Amazon when they get caught.

I have used Atlas from OpenAI.
I have used Comet from Perplexity.
I have used Arc from The Browser Company.
I have used Dia also from The Browser Company.

(My favorite of all those has been Comet by far.)

I have historically stayed away from Chrome because it is always so bloated feeling and a massive RAM hog - and just didn't have as many cool features.

Safari?
⤷ It is native because I have all Apple stuff. So that was cool.

Atlas?
⤷ Not a huge fan. Seems very slow to me & I don't use ChatGPT much.

Comet?
⤷ Agentic AI browsing and I LOVE Perplexity search.

Arc?
⤷ This was the KING for me - until the devs abandoned it.

Dia?
⤷ Feels like Chrome and it's snappy to use - but the AI feels forced.    

Let's get back to Chrome for a second.

I am TRIPLING down on the AI that Google is doing.
⤷ Because it is all really, really good.

→ I replaced my Claude usage with Gemini 2.5 Pro.
→ Nano Banana is basically untouchable IMHO.
→ AI Studio slaps really hard to test stuff.
→ VEO 3.1 is a full blown video monster.
→ Now Google launched Gemini 3.     

So why Chrome?
⤷ Because Chrome now has Gemini built inside of it.

Dia → worthless to me now.
Comet → still wins on agentic AI but I use Gemini more.

I really cannot believe I am saying this - again - but Chrome is really hitting hard for me right now with all of these updates.

Let's see if I am ready to hit the "Switch to your default browser" button.

Still scared of doing a post-edit on Amazon?

Stop it.

$15 Billion. That’s not pocket change. Even for Amazon.

That’s what they just raised in their first bond sale since 2022.

Most people see this headline and scroll past. 
"Just big tech moving money around," right?
⤷ Wrong.

If you’re a brand selling on Amazon, you need to look closer.

Here is what’s actually happening behind the curtain:

Amazon isn't just raising cash to pad the balance sheet. They are joining the "AI Arms Race" alongside Meta ($30B) and Alphabet ($25B).

They are loading the war chest to fund a massive spike in CapEx (expected to hit ~$125B this year).

But look at where that money is going.
→ Not more warehouses. 
→ Not more blue vans. 
→ Compute.

Specifically, data centers & the infrastructure to support their new 7-year deal to be the backbone for OpenAI.

You might be thinking:
"Okay, cool, Amazon loves AI. How does that help me sell more shampoo?"

It signals a fundamental shift in the platform's DNA.

Amazon is betting the house that the future of shopping isn’t "Search and Scroll." It’s "Ask and Answer."

They are re-plumbing the entire machine to support generative AI (Rufus, Cosmo, and the backend tools we haven't seen yet).

If Amazon is spending $125B to change how the platform thinks - you probably shouldn't be using a strategy from 2019 to sell on it.

1. SEO is changing. Keywords are becoming less important than semantic context. The AI needs to "understand" your product, not just index it.

2. The "moat" is getting wider. Amazon is making it prohibitively expensive for any other marketplace to compete on tech infrastructure.

3. Ad Spend Efficiency. With this much compute power, expect ad targeting to get scary good - or for CPCs to rise as they try to recoup that $15B interest.

Amazon is pivoting from being a store to being an intelligence engine.
⤷ They just put $15,000,000,000 on the table to prove it.

Don't be the brand still trying to hack the algorithm with keyword stuffing while Amazon is rebuilding the robot entirely.

Adapt or get buried.

P.S. Would you bet against a company investing $125B a year in its own future? 

I wouldn't.

If you are not on top of your brand, you will fail.

And proper seasonal merchandising? This is a win.

Personally, I love seeing this when I shop and it subliminally makes me trust/like the brand a little more because they are aware.
