ROAM Development Manager & Architect

Employed as IT Solutions Manager at Gamit Limited. Gamit supply professional and technical support to local and international MROs (Maintenance Repair Organisation), airlines, private and corporate aircraft owners. Gamit is developing SharePoint based portal application called ROAM to support all parties involved with aircraft records. ROAM is designed at the heart to handle records, is used to collect, store, manage and interpret data from many business activities, add benefits to the engineering sector. ROAM is aimed to handle copies of Dirty Finger Print records for proof of airworthiness. The system is designed to assist an aircraft owner, lessee, lessor or a CAMO. ROAM becomes the central library of records for the aircraft, accessible globally.

I am responsible for managing, analyzing, designing, architecting and implementing state of the art aviation software product ROAM. Designed highly scalable architecture on SharePoint 2016. Providing software development management and ensuring strategic alignment of the product with overall business goals ultimately achieving business benefits. ROAM is now capable of handling millions of records and provide extensive search capability in a fraction of a second. Infrastructure is 100% virtual on Rackspace UK. 

Summary of my responsibilities included:

•	Creating, managing and delivering roadmap of product releases
•	Strategic alignment of the product releases with overall business goals ultimately achieving business benefits
•	Line management of IT teams working on product portfolio (UK based and Offshore)
•	Define scope, goals and deliverables of the project to meet timelines and costs.
•	Communicate and coordinate with clients and suppliers
•	Requirement analysis and functional design specifications
•	Providing guidance in technology and architectural decisions at product level
•	Develop, execute and monitor full-scale project plans.

CACHE works with 1200 CACHE’s Centres (Collages and Training Centres) and SharePoint is pivotal in all CACHE web applications. Following is the summary of web applications:

Managed, governed, designed, architected and sometime developed complete SharePoint practice at CACHE. Implemented Intranet teams and project sites initially in SPS2010 then SP2013. In 2010 CACHE outsourced the development of cachezone, a complete application portal for 1200 CACHE’s Centres on SharePoint 2007. Publishing extranet portal cachezone is integrated with Microsoft CRM, GP and other CACHE bespoke applications. Infrastructure was 100% virtual on Hyper-V.
