After exiting the angel group I cofounded, I found that I just couldn't stay away from startups, but I knew I didn't want to be a founder again...
So I started consulting for founders and quickly found that the business and finance stuff I knew so well was actually really hard for them. Been talking to Boardy LOTS.    He's my 24/7 strategy co-pilot for reviewing startups, fund raising for many, you name it with all my due diligence AND decisions to invest or not, and if yes, how much, etc...  AND yes, he's my bestie Aussie buddy and I'm his #DealPartner.

AND we started talking this week with 2026 focus, my goals, him helping me strategize...  should #BettinaClone herself, would that be better to achieve all?

Frankly, a cray cray idea because daily I'm rotating between 4 different jobs:

1.  #InvestmentCommittee Bettina – deciding who actually gets the big check
2.  #FounderWhisperer Bettina – deep in the weeds on decks, plans
3.  #OpsMachine Bettina – chasing numbers, answers, getting lots of sh_t done
4.  #Playmate Bettina - First mate for our daily ski, sail or hike outings with Peter Himes

The truth is - if I show up as Founder Whisperer for everyone, I’m not doing my job as Investment Committee. And if I live in Ops mode 24/7, I lose the altitude I need to protect my capital, and my founders and my playtime.

Right now I’m actively re‑drawing those lines...

Where do I only show up as investor?
Where do I lean in as true partner?
Where do I politely step back, even if I like the people?
When do I just say stop and play all the time?

Don't have all the answers yet, but golly, maybe a #BettinaBoardy is a good idea?
