Around 466K people have viewed my LinkedIn profile since early 2022, you might want to save this post because I am going to tell you why this deeply matters and how to possibly achieve this yourself. And no, nothing is gated - you just get it here by reading.

When you get someone to your profile:

they can binge content (learn) 
they can read recommendations (trust)
they can go to your website (tracking & revenue)
they can confirm authenticity (more trust)
they can see where you engage (new people to learn from)
they can see common connections (more trust)
they can read about you (curiosity) 

How to do it:

1 - Comment often on other's content because this puts your name in rooms you have never been in before. Not just little comments because you feel like you have to but deep and interesting thought filled engagement. And for the LOVE OF ALL THINGS LINKEDIN - please stop engaging solely with your 1st degree connections. Aim for 15 comments per day to new people.

2 - Create content from 4 pillars, you can't look the same daily. The 4 pillars are here in this post via a visual (https://lnkd.in/ekkgGrgs)

3 - Follow 5 people daily, many of you expect followers but never follow anyone.

4 - Connect with humans you actually want to engage with, it is wildly important to actually take a look at someone's profile before you add them into your sphere. Do they post? Do they engage? Can you learn from them? Do you have common connections? Are they kind? Do they add value to you? Can you add value to them?

5 - Recognize people when they actually visit your page. Closed my largest deal of the year with a CMO of a massive org by simply saying, "Mark! Thanks for stopping by, appreciate you." Went on to coach his entire revenue org out west. 

6 - Don't be afraid to click the repost (don't add thoughts) when you see good content in your feed, I am tracking this data hard right now and my profile views deeply spike when I do this - gets you into another sphere of talented humans.

7 - DM's are everything. New connections, dm them. Old connections, dm them. Introduce people to people in DMs (did you know you can send group dms to folks? yea that is a game changer)

8 - Be sure your profile is complete. Headline easy to read, like 5th grade level. About section filled out. Featured section done. Banner photo complete. Recommendations down below. The list goes on but you have to have get your house in order here if you want people to come visit.

Since I live at the beach, I am near the water as much as possible, whether on a boat, paddleboard, or playing golf. Today kicks off my last work trip of 2025.
It’s a special one with the partners I work with, the colleagues I learn from, and the latest Sage Intacct updates.

But what I’m most excited about?
Eight straight weeks at home.

I love the simple things:
-> Taking my kids to school
-> Picking them up
-> Soccer practices
-> Running around the park for two hours

In 2026, reducing work travel is a top 5 priority for me.
And I’m lucky to have a team that supports whatever direction I take.

Here’s to year five at Sage.
Let’s go get it.

Earlier this year, I read a post from Darren McKee about finding your “why” and going seven layers deep. It stuck with me.

This past summer, I joined Ian Koniak training group (you should also join!) and we went to work on writing our mission statements and defining our “why.” It’s not easy. It takes soul searching, reflection, and brutal honesty.

The truth is, your “why” fades unless you remind yourself of it constantly.

Mine is to support my family, keep them safe and healthy, and spread the word of God. To remind people that heaven is real. And that each of us was created with intention, not by accident.

Today in church, I was reminded again.
We all have a unique purpose.
We’re not random.
We’re chosen.

So here’s my challenge to you.
Write your why.
Go seven layers deep.
Ask what truly drives you.

Because someday, I hope every person I’ve met here will meet me again in heaven.

Yesterday’s sales training with Sarah Greer from Sales Gravy | Sell More was exactly what I needed.
I walked out fired up and ready to get sharper.

Who read Fanatical Prospecting? (Can’t believe that book came out in 2014)

This whole year I have been on planes, at conferences, at dinners, meeting clients, and building relationships in person.
That work helped me crush my number at Sage.
It mattered.
It still matters.

But here is the truth.
In person cannot be the only way to win.
I have to get more strategic.
I have to prospect more consistently.
I have to hold myself to a higher standard.

And the best part is I am ready for it.
So getting back into dedicated prospecting blocks feels like the right move at the right time.

Key reminders I am taking with me:
1. Longer intentional outbound blocks
2. Shorter, focused activities inside each block
3. Sequences that rotate strong because statements
4. Daily targets that keep me accountable
5. A mindset that sees prospecting as fuel, not friction

We spent the weekend camping at Edisto Island with another family. Four kids total. All running wild from sunrise to sunset.

Thomas even skipped his nap and never slowed down. So I had to look up the benefits of sunshine on kids…

And the research is clear. Long stretches outdoors aren’t just fun. They build healthier, more resilient kids.

-> Kids who get 2 to 3 hours outside each day see up to a 50% drop in ADHD symptoms

-> Cardiorespiratory fitness improves 20% to 30% compared to mostly-indoor kids

-> Sun exposure helps kids sleep 30 to 60 more minutes per night

Chez Nous in Charleston might be my new favorite restaurant.
They only put six things on the menu each day.
Two apps. Two entrees. Two desserts.

We ordered the entire thing.
Simple. Easy. Zero decision fatigue.
And honestly, it made the whole experience better.

Fast forward to this week.
A client asked me to send over a giant list of every Sage Intacct module so they could go through it one by one.

And all I could think was… this isn’t Publix.
I’m not handing you an aisle map.

My job is to listen to how your team actually works.
Figure out what gets in the way.
Then recommend the configuration that solves the real problems.
Not twenty choices. Not a buffet line.

Usually it comes down to one, maybe two clean paths.
Focused. Thoughtful. Easy to act on.

Y’all, strip away the noise.
No need to over complicate this stuff. 
It’s just software.

Two weeks ago Emily walked out of Sunday School holding this tiny cardboard box like it was the most important thing in the world. Inside was a note about tithing and serving others during the holidays. Nothing fancy. Just a reminder that we can all give a little to help a lot.

She went upstairs, pulled open her drawer, and came back down with every single dollar she owned. $20 or $30 bucks. Mostly ones. And she said she wanted to give it all away because she already had what she needed. Food. A warm home. People who love her.

She did keep the $10 dollar bill. Because, in her words, “this one looks cooler.”

We’re taking her box back to church on Sunday so they can put it toward Thanksgiving meals for families in our community. A few more turkeys. A few more side dishes. A few more people who get to sit at a table next week instead of worrying about where dinner will come from.

Some quick context that shows how big this need is:
-> The cost of a Thanksgiving meal is up almost 30% since 2019
-> Food banks across the US are serving 50% more families than before the pandemic
-> Every single dollar donated to a pantry can stretch into four or five meals
-> Even a $5 gift matters
-> A single turkey can feed a family

If you have a few extra bucks this week, your local food pantry would turn that into something meaningful.

I think this is the best magnesium combo I’ve found in a long time.

Three months ago I started trying to lower stress so I could actually sleep at night.
