First-name-only introductions sound like telemarketing. Prospects hear "Ryan" and immediately think: "salesperson I don't know."

Full name changes the dynamic:

It sounds more credible. More professional. 

One more thing: restate your name LATER in the call.

Prospects don't retain your name from the first 3 seconds. When you reintroduce yourself mid-conversation, you reinforce the relationship.

Parallel dialing is a lie you're telling yourself.

You think it's faster. But

here's what actually happens:

Rep dials on 3 lines simultaneously. Prospect picks up on line 2. The Algo is on line 1 still listening to voicemail. 

By the time rep gets switched to line 2, 5 seconds have passed.

Prospect got nothing but silence. No greeting. No value.

They hung up.

What do you call a black person in the UK?  

I am asking because I get confused when people refer to a black person in the US as an African American, rather than just a black person. 

Many black people in the united states are not from Africa, they may be from Jamaica for example.  

Why are so many people uncomfortable just saying the person is black, or white etc?

Discipline is overrated.

You don't need to feel motivated.

You need a standard you refuse to drop below.

Every single day, your standard is completions.

Not dials. Not "time on the phone." Not "I tried."

Completions.

5 per block. 7-10 per day minimum. Non-negotiable.

When you set a standard, you stop negotiating with yourself every morning.

When someone answers your call once, even if it's a 10-second conversation, they go into your Priorty bucket.

Priorty records connect at roughly 4 to 5x the rate of working records

CIs (connect incompletes) are NOT failures. They're future conversations with people who already proved they answer the phone.

Most reps treat a CI as a dead end. Top performers treat it as a deposit.
