We revolutionized voice AI and changed the AI market becoming one of the first AI brands to proclaim that "AI orchestration" was the way. I was recruited to be employee 11 at an AI startup and was able to help create hockey stick growth while working to craft and build not just the Creative Virtual USA brand, but the conversational AI market itself. 

We grew from 11 employees to almost 50 and CV became easily the most fun brand and place to work in AI. I was able to become a minority owner and executive officer after two years. I leveled up skills on several fronts as I helped set the strategy and execute the vision for re-engineering our sales team from scratch, re-designing our US brand, and building out our Customer Success team. 

During my tenure, I was humbled to be trusted by and learn from brands like Intercontinental Hotels Group, Time Warner Cable, Verizon (Wireless & Residential), ETrade, Autodesk, Comcast, Bank of America, Snapfish, DXC, Cox Cable, Charter, JPMC, the New York Times, and Boeing (to name a few). I was fortunate to have spent these five plus years helping to build a brand and team, while we were at the forefront of the creation of the conversational economy and took big bites out of market competitors featuring Watson winning Jeopardy. 

I'm proud that we grew revenue over 400% in my time there, and I am even prouder that our clients saw professional and personal success as a result of working with us. We all were instrumental in creating the Conversational AI market - together. It was challenging and rewarding to build out a sales and CS team while helping to reimagine the CV USA brand. I fell in love with strategic narrative and GTM strategy at CV USA, and cherish the feeling of winning a deal and hiring more great talent. We sold our company to the UK mothership in 2017.

I am proud that I broke quota, logo and deal records during my short tenure there, and I am grateful that I met two special mentors, one of whom has been one of the most impactful, high EQ, brilliant servant leaders I have ever met. inContact gave me a foundation of skills and experiences, in a compact period of time, that have lent me well throughout my startup and enterprise SaaS journey.

What I found quickly is that my background in teaching was a secret super power that helped me across all those areas (the Challenger Sale helps explain), and that listening more than speaking was a worthy value. I quickly gained a reputation as a "Jeopardy" account stalwart - often turning around clients with extreme business conflict in play. 

I am proud I made President's Club every year, earned Circle of Excellence recognition, and set records for Customer Success revenue growth and retention. Most importantly, I had the best manager/direct boss in my business career right out of the gate, and made lifelong friends who were also trustworthy high performers - it was great to bring some of them with me to other stops in my career.

I learned a lot from supervising other teachers in the lower school and enjoyed being part of a community rich in varied languages, cultures and backgrounds.

I still try and take my own children to DC to visit Sacred Heart with me when I can. This was my first "job" and the place where the foundation of who I am as a professional was built. The love of life, fortitude to endure, and endless optimism for the future that was embedded within Sacred Heart is still with me today.
