I started Minitruck World to sell new to-order Japanese mini trucks to customers in the United States. I created the concept, crafted the USP, built the website, carried out the marketing, SEO, and ran Google Ads. Ultimately, the demand for to-order vehicles was not strong enough to justify continuing the business, so I shut it down in December 2021.

I helped start this business from a single customer and grew it into a medium sized vehicle exporter shipping around 100 vehicles per month with over 350 car dealer customers around the world. I created the vision and parameters for the business, particulary defining the focus and USP -- a hard thing to do in a very price-conscious, cynical market.

I was responsible for all outward-facing aspects of the business -- website design and content, copywriting, sales call, customer interaction, new lead generation, customer onboarding, marketing, Google Ads, SEO, link building etc. I also handled some interactions with the Japan-side suppliers, as well as running a team of other outsourced suppliers around the world.

🔬 In high school, I focused on the sciences.
⚖️ In university (college), my major was Law.
🌍 I've been in missions, ESOL teaching, Japanese <> English translation, project management, vehicle exports, marketing, SEO, sales, copywriting.
📈 I've built a business in Japan from a single customer to 7-figures in revenue (dollars, not Yen!)
☕🗽 I'm from the UK and now I'm also a US citizen.
🗾 I've lived in Japan on four occasions since 1993.
🏠 I've lived 5 years in the US (Wisconsin, Seattle, Orlando)
