Sounds like a LinkedIn dream story, right?

Plot twist: I was miserable 💀

The culprit? WhatsApp.

(bear with me, this gets good)

2023: Banking my first million, but pinging 24/7 with clients in US, UK, Dubai

My personal WhatsApp = my work

WhatsApp = my mental breakdown waiting to happen

Every notification could be:
- mum asking about Sunday lunch
- our freelancers needing file access asap
- bestie sending memes
- Dubai client at 3am needing 'urgent' changes

The constant context switching was literally killing brain cells

Bought a work phone thinking I was smart

(spoiler: carrying 2 phones everywhere isn't the flex you think it is)

Then I found Zenzap  

ONE app with an OFF switch

Now I have:

- personal WhatsApp for actual humans I like
- work comms app that I can literally switch OFF (and hide my number if needed)
- my sanity back (priceless tbh)

The best part? 

Clients have had the same issues with their WhatsApp/Slack comms, and also prefer this new system

I just... stop existing after 6pm

Then, I thrive ✨

Not another bore fest billboard. A SOUP STALL!

They're serving traditional Cantonese recovery soups to runners on Ersha Island

with Nike-branded spoons??

That's it. That's the campaign.

While everyone's throwing £millions at 'immersive experiences', Nike partnered with Olympic sprinter Su Bingtian to serve... soup.

location: where runners ACTUALLY run (spoiler alert: not Times Square)
product: what runners actually NEED (recovery, not another tracker app)
branding: Subtle AF (just a weird spoon, not a billboard)

meanwhile Nike's competitors are fighting for BFCM CPMs on Meta 😂

(be like Nike, not everyone else x)

This ONE pin makes me $700/month

no, not hookbait - here's how:

1. pin gets ~100k impressions/month
2. 5.4k clicks on said pin
3. translating to 1.35k outbound clicks every 30 days

this particular pin hyperlinks to my Stan store 

conversion on my stan store is ~2% from Pinterest

so now we do some math:

1.35k outbound clicks with a 2% conv rate = 27 purchases per month
average AOV of $25 means:

‼️ 27 purchases x 25 AOV = $700 PER MONTH FOR 1 PIN ‼️

I post at least 60 pins per month... I'll let you do that math for yourself 

yet all I hear is: PiNtErEsT wOnT wOrK fOr Me

won't it? or can you just not be bothered?

you keep your extortionate meta ads that give you a mediocre ROI

I'll stick to my Pinterest with a 100% ROI x

FOMO is one of the greatest marketing tactics...

but FOBO is where you're losing money

we've all heard of FOMO, right?

how you want your customers to FEEL like they're missing out if they don't have your product

more FOMO = more sales

but once you've nailed that it's time to start thinking about FOBO

✨ fear of better options ✨

(no I didn't make it up - it's a real thing x)

aka: analysis paralysis

it happens VERY often in pretty much every market in 2025

there's so many options for anything we could possibly want or need

it gets... overwhelming

whether it's a new coffee machine or a Tesco meal deal, we're literally flooded with options

what this looks like on the back end:

- cart abandonment
- high bounce rates

how you can fix it:

1. reduce choice overload (think how much nicer it is to order at a resturant with a 1 page menu, not a 20 page book)

2. add subtle confidence boosters to their choice (things like 'best seller', 'most value' etc)

3. remove regret (guarantees, money back offers, good refund policies - this reduces the pressure on them to make a 'final' product decision)

FOBO is a WHOLE other ball park in marketing

but something most people miss, and don't speak about

and you already know imma come bring the best info to your feed

because I want us all to win ⭐️

1. long chain keywords - get super specific about what keywords you’re adding to your pins

2. recommended searches - Pinterest is pushing this for users

4. Insta feed linking - link ur insta feed besties!! This content is getting SO much traction

→ Switch between logic, emotion, and creativity instead of mixing them up.

LinkedIn is dead....

According to everyone on LinkedIn. 

Every year, people will become motivated to post on here. 
Often they'll see momentum fast. 

But then change happens...

A new format or algorithm change arrives
And often people aren't fast enough. 

They will continue to use the same techniques as before. 
And their results and motivation will start to diminish. 

But here's the brutal reality...

LinkedIn (like most social platforms) change ALL the time. 
To keep up you need to adapt fast and be very resilient.

So here's 6 tips for staying on top of the changes 
And how to adapt fast. 

1. Kill the ego 

- Understand that the algorithm doesn't care about you 
- The more sharable the content, the likely it is to perform

2. Always keep audience at the top of mind 

- Your content should always serve your audience 
- Think about the psychology of how your content stops the scroll

3. Study the best people in your industry 

- Great creators adapt fast. So follow those who adjust at speed 
- If someone changes up, check it out and break down why

4. Experiment all the time

- Do not continue to use the same format if it doesn't work 
- Treat each post like an experiment and test different variables

5. Accept things with a pinch of salt 

- There is a lot of misinformation spread on here 
- What will work for others may not work for you

6. Play the long game 

- Remember 0.1% growth compounds daily 
- Those who quit, never see the benefits

No-body has it all figured out.

They just refuse to let the fear of looking stupid stop them.

3. Length is your friend: 1.3k-3k character posts get 38% more reach. 
4. Post on the Weekend: Sunday posts see highest reach
5. Reach isn't killed by externa links: 3+ useful links get 236% more reach

Most people will never reach 10,000 followers.

And assume they blew up overnight.

The truth is completely different.

This is how the journey really unfolds:

1. You define your core topics and have buckets of ambition.
2. You then start posting and put yourself out there.
3. You engage daily in comments and start to build a community.
4. You follow LinkedIn advice from gurus who can't back it up. 
5. And finally you give up when it doesn’t click instantly.

It can be an insanely brutal process. 
But if you stick at it...

This happens too:

✅ You analyse what actually gets results and learn.
✅ You restart and apply the lessons to go again.
✅ You then double down on what works for you. 
✅ Then the growth starts happening.

🏆 And you become a recognised name in your space. 

It’s a wild ride.

And the algorithm is always evolving.
So you’re constantly forced to adjust.

But that’s why LinkedIn rewards those who stick it out.

LinkedIn is full of job updates and education. 

So, today I'm a do it differently... 

I've grown from 5,000 to 153,371 followers in 2 years. 

And I've not really shared much about who I actually am. 

So here's my introduction. 
(without info about my job hehehe) 

I'm Josh. 
I live in London. 
I like silly lil tattoos.
I constsantly question myself.
I have a black cat called Lausse. 
I'm am 25 years young (26 soon oop).
I got a black belt in taekwondo at 14.  
I prefer 1 deep convo over 10 small talks. 
I love hearing and telling terrible dad jokes. 
I'm currently in my mid twenties running crisis. 
I did a degree in entrepreneurship and innovation. 
I have a mild obsession with Chess (yet I kinda suck) 
I was ranked 3rd in the UK at football freestyle at 17.
It's taken 2 years, but I feel surrounded by the best people.

So I think I'm about to do the most stupid thing I've done. 

And I'm really not ready for it... 

Running 10k every single day for 30 days.

Here's the story: 

A few days ago I was chatting to my good friend Angus Parker about my total running KM for the year. 
I had done just under 700km. 

(Not bad for something I've been doing just for my silly lil brain health) 

But something annoyed me... 

I was 300km off of a wonderfully round 1000km. 

I then thought "how hard could that be in one month?" 
After few quite delusional afterthoughts, I thought why not go for it. 

And so... December300 is born. 

10k a day, every single day, until the end of the month. 

Now I don't just want this to be a personal challenge for me. 

I want to invite anyone else who wants to do it with me!
