Accenture is now tying AI tool usage to promotion potential. We're seeing the same shift happening across real estate investment management. 

Firms are moving past the "should we use AI?" conversation and into "why aren't our people using it more?"

Accenture’s approach is a bold move that signals something important: the C-suite is serious about AI no longer being optional.

But here's where I'd push back on their approach - measuring usage is the wrong metric.

Log-ins don't underwrite deals faster. Weekly active users don't compress asset management or fund reporting cycles. 

The firms seeing real returns aren't the ones with the highest adoption rates on a dashboard. They're the ones asking better questions:

1️⃣ Which workflows are actually worth automating?
2️⃣ Which data sources matter most to how my team operates?
3️⃣ What would it look like for my team to do 10x more with the same headcount?

That's the bar leadership should be setting, not whether someone logged in this week, but whether AI is driving outcomes that genuinely move the business forward.
