I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions. I have goals for 2026, but I’m not issuing myself big ultimatums this week. In fact, I’m taking a week’s vacation, so I will go radio silent on professional socials tomorrow.

What I do like, though, is a good word for the year. 

As I reflected on 2025, one thing I noted was that I got away from the details of too many things. I always know what I need to do, but I’m not great at always doing it. But I’m always thinking about my goals and whether I will hit them. (Some I did, some I didn’t.)

Over the holidays, I heard a great Nick Saban quote to the effect of: "Don’t focus on outcomes; focus on process." The details matter. Execution matters.

So, my word for 2026 is “Discipline.”

Doing the things that need to be done. Executing the processes that lead to my and my client’s success.

This $14 million campaign is a transformative effort that celebrates our school's remarkable journey and charts a bold course for its future.
