I’m not big on New Year’s resolutions. I have goals for 2026, but I’m not issuing myself big ultimatums this week. In fact, I’m taking a week’s vacation, so I will go radio silent on professional socials tomorrow.

What I do like, though, is a good word for the year. 

As I reflected on 2025, one thing I noted was that I got away from the details of too many things. I always know what I need to do, but I’m not great at always doing it. But I’m always thinking about my goals and whether I will hit them. (Some I did, some I didn’t.)

Over the holidays, I heard a great Nick Saban quote to the effect of: "Don’t focus on outcomes; focus on process." The details matter. Execution matters.

So, my word for 2026 is “Discipline.”

Doing the things that need to be done. Executing the processes that lead to my and my client’s success.

This $14 million campaign is a transformative effort that celebrates our school's remarkable journey and charts a bold course for its future. 

In addition to sharing our exciting plans for the future, we also announced that, in partnership with the campaign co-chairs, we've raised $12.1 million of the $14 million goal during the silent phase!

4,000-person Nonprofit - I kicked off a complete system transformation process that included coaching their two CEOs and implementing the program across their 12-person leadership team. This effort resulted in the organization transforming into an agile and conscious teal organization as described by Frederic Laloux in his famous book “Reinventing Organizations.”

I was accepted to serve as an executive coach by co-vadis, an elite network of coaches across Germany focused on executive excellence that was acquired by Heidrick & Struggles in 2019. In addition to providing one-on-one executive coaching and leading the firm’s business coaching program, I designed and implemented leadership development programs spanning negotiation, team leadership, team trust, team high performance, and more for global executive teams and workforces. 

A few of my key engagements included: 

➤ Bayer – I helped develop an international leadership development program and then rolled it out across seven countries in Africa, the Middle East, and Europe. 

➤ Airbus – I worked to reassess members of their long-time internal coaching pool and perform quality control based on the International Coaching Federation’s core competencies and standards to improve their internal coaching program. 

➤ Rhenus Logistics – I was brought in by the HR lead (and former coaching program participant) to deliver a leadership development program related to leading with empathy and intuition for leaders of this multinational logistics service provider. After the success of the program in the first year, Rhenus asked me to expand the program and I delivered it to hundreds of their leaders over four years.  

➤ Tecis – By implementing a leadership development program centered on transformational leadership, coaching culture, nonviolent communication, and continuous culture development over several years, I was able to transform their morale and purpose in ways they didn’t think was possible. Several years of hard work allowed this culture that had been driven by fear, distrust, and even hate to transform into one of openness, constant learning, and putting human potential first.

➤ Knorr Brake Company – I partnered with their 20-person European leadership team over three years to help prepare them for their IPO.
