Your CRM is a liability, not an asset. 

Let me explain:

If your CRM is anything like mine it’s a graveyard of data.  

Stale records cause you didn’t update that one field 3 months ago. 

Lost context because your crm didn’t get the LinkedIn DM a lead sent you. 

Missing process compliance cause we’re all human and just forget to do stuff. (Yup I didn’t send that follow up to the lead 6 weeks ago).

So, what is supposed to the source of truth in most businesses is instead incomplete, inaccurate, and inflexible. 

It’s a liability, an impediment to your sales teams moving faster and closing more deals. 

Same exact analogy as many of us are seeing with website builders these days. 

It’s way easier to just talk to Claude Code, programmatically have it bring in new info from dedicated channels, and be the nimble tool we all want it to be in the AI era. 

But my CRM (and I’d guess yours too) is stuck in 2012

- automations that break

We need to think of Sales & GTM systems just like we do Claude Code or Codex. 

It should be an agent. 

It should have all of the context, in a structured but flexible manner. 

It should have a CLI

It should natively integrate with your call recorder, social media, email, operations software. I mean like it should plug directly into it. Not Zapier-esque rigid workflows. 

If you take the agentic mindset to its natural next step it removes all of the contraints of conventional SaaS and just delivers straight value and productivity. 

Not adding more work, worse data, and less output. 

This is a $1B kinda problem.

OpenClaw wins where it's fun.
- Accessibility: 9 vs 5 (text it from Telegram, WhatsApp, Slack)
- Reach: 9 vs 5 (always-on, 24/7 autonomous operation)
- Future fit: 9 vs 8 (the concept is genuinely where AI is heading)

Claude Code wins where it's money.
- Setup: 9 vs 4 (working in 5 minutes vs. a legit side project)
- Security: 9 vs 3 (900+ exposed OpenClaw servers found by researchers)
- ROI: 9 vs 5 (1+ year of receipts vs 3 months of demos)

The security one should stop every founder cold. 

OpenClaw's own creator said "most non-techies should not install this." One exposed API key, one breached conversation log — that's a support crisis, a legal exposure, and a trust problem all at once.

I use Claude Code every day to run Castos. Hiring decisions, content pipelines, product delivery. 

It's not the flashiest tool. 

It just has receipts.

OpenClaw is a glimpse into the future of what AI and Agents will be for all of us.

My advice: Master Claude Code now. Build your context. Be ready for the always-on future when it arrives with proper security.
