I usually find myself working in research or innovation teams due to attention deficient and boredom with solvable problems. I very much enjoy speaking, teaching, and sharing things I've learned with others.

The root of Cory’s passion for the connected nature of tech enhancing the future of work began in the early 2000s in robotics research initiatives for the FedEx Institute of Technology. He went on to pioneer mobile helping enterprises develop strategies to mobilize staff workflows and collaboration in the pre-enterprise project management app era of “BYOD to work” in the mid-2010s. Seeing the promise of physical and digital integration, Cory brought physical products to life leading the Connected Technologies division at a hardware development firm. Beginning in 2018 Cory began researching and leading the Future of Work at Gigster as VP of Product and Research advocating for leveling outdated hierarchical structures within organizations. Cory is a futurist with the goal to continuously question the status quo. His research answers the questions that will define how the innovations of today will impact the work of tomorrow.

Human Resources Specialist

As a project manager at Topcoder, I leverage my technical background and PSM I certification to deliver innovative solutions for public sector clients. I have over five years of experience in managing design, development, and data science projects, from the requirements gathering phase to the final delivery. 

I enjoy working on challenging and novel projects, especially in the fields of data science and AI/ML. I have successfully led projects such as the NASA Comet Detection machine learning project, which resulted in the discovery of two new comets, and the telehealth mobile and desktop application, which revolutionized the sleep care industry. I am skilled in communicating technical concepts and terminology to non-technical clients, as well as managing academics and scientists. I am also always looking to improve internal processes to make them frictionless for users and clients. 

I am a self-taught front-end developer, a woman veteran, and a science fan. I am comfortable being uncomfortable, admitting when I don't know something, and learning new things. I am passionate about creating value and impact through open innovation and public sector projects.
