I usually find myself working in research or innovation teams due to attention deficient and boredom with solvable problems. I very much enjoy speaking, teaching, and sharing things I've learned with others.

The root of Cory’s passion for the connected nature of tech enhancing the future of work began in the early 2000s in robotics research initiatives for the FedEx Institute of Technology. He went on to pioneer mobile helping enterprises develop strategies to mobilize staff workflows and collaboration in the pre-enterprise project management app era of “BYOD to work” in the mid-2010s. Seeing the promise of physical and digital integration, Cory brought physical products to life leading the Connected Technologies division at a hardware development firm. Beginning in 2018 Cory began researching and leading the Future of Work at Gigster as VP of Product and Research advocating for leveling outdated hierarchical structures within organizations. Cory is a futurist with the goal to continuously question the status quo. His research answers the questions that will define how the innovations of today will impact the work of tomorrow.

Leadership and Medical Sales of Diabetic supplies + Endocrinologists/Nurse Practitioners+staff/Internists/ENT's and their clinics in MS,TN, AR, LA, VA, GA, SC, NC and AL. Turnaround situation-- Strategy and Revenue Growth and team development responsibilities to meet monthly and quarterly revenue/gross margin/MBO objectives. Drove Gross Margin revenues by 35% in yr 1 in this DME sector.  

Managed Care negotiations to enable greater geographic reach for the company.  Outside/Inside Sales/Collections depts oversight to maximize reorders and cash flow.  Work with manufacturer Territory Mgrs and Channel Directors to drive referrals and increase penetration of core Dr clinics. New Product Dev and business planning of additional core products (wound care + urology) to help drive new revenue opportunities. Evaluated 2-3 acquisition/merger targets. Raised funds for growth capital + managed weekly Board meetings.

An incubator and accelerator for helping grow early stage companies from launch to self-sustainability. P-L and leadership responsibilities and Board recruitment. An advisor to 100 co's on a variety of areas---fundraising, team dev, sales, financial modeling, strategy, product dev, PR, and technology. Developed corporate relationships where $2,000,000 was raised, as part of an innovation/Labs strategy. Raised Govt and foundational funds to help sustain the organization. Served as Chief Evangelist with customers/recruitment/speaking/funding partners x the Southeast.

iBeam Broadcasting (Sold to Wiltel)

An internet streaming video company, who was one of the first companies to bring video to the web. Raised 40 million from top tier VC's like Accel, before going IPO. Sales and Bus Dev to enterprise and media clients to sell/advise them on the benefits of this new technology ie MTV/Viacom. Also extensive negotiations/relationship cultivation with ISPs/telcos in the SE region. A quota driven role that was consistently exceeded above 100% with President's Club status reached.

Prior Domain knowledge in technology (SaaS/Fintech/Fraud), healthcare/medtech, and cable/telecom in both enterprise and early stage companies.
