Data Manager and Research coordinator for the UK Adult Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP) Registry, which captures data on patients with the rare condition, ITP, from over 90 Hospitals/sites.

Implemented protocols and pathways to ensure sites know how to conduct the study.

Created a positive link with all sites/hospitals that left the study in the past and have added many more new sites to the registry to boost recruitment to record levels. 

Redesigned the study website and oversee all the updates and information relating to the study online. 

Managed to streamline the ITP registry study and implement standard operating protocols to guide hospitals on the recruitment and data entry process of the study in line with Good Clinical Practice. 

I have upgraded the study database (REDCap) and implemented a query resolution workflow to improve accuracy and completeness of data entry. This has meant that when it comes to data analysis, we have fewer missing data points and the data is reliable. 

Took the initiative to learn data analysis skills using R/RStudio and this has enabled us to produce papers and abstracts from the data in the ITP Registry without requiring to spend time/money on external help. 

I was the lead data analyst for a poster that was presented at the International Society on Thrombosis and Haemostasis (ISTH) congress 2022 and an abstract (see publications section).

Adapted to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic by implementing new protocols to enable consenting of study participants via remote consenting. The new protocols were rolled out efficiently within a few weeks and communicated to all sites without any issues. As a result, we were able to maintain our recruitment numbers to pre-pandemic levels.

•	Liaising with Consultants, registrars and admin staff to arrange setting up extra clinic and theatre sessions to meet required demand for services.
•	Attending business and departmental meetings to review NHS waiting lists and ensure we have plans in place to bring waiting times down and improve patient pathways.

•	Coordination of a series of prostate and breast cancer clinical trials in accordance with ICH GCP guidelines. 
•	Working closely with Chief Investigators and relevant research and admin support staff to achieve trial objectives. This involves setting up monthly trial management group meetings with all the trial specific research staff to ensure we are reaching targets and flag up any potential problems so that we can resolve issues sooner rather than later. 
•	Acting as a first point of contact for any trial related queries, adverse events and set up of new sites by assisting teams with relevant site-specific feasibility issues and research governance queries. 
•	Overseeing trial set up, amendments and trial updates via IRAS and letters to relevant RECs and funder representatives. 
•	Conducting Site Initiation Visits for new sites; creating and sending out investigator site files. 
•	Creating and testing MACRO databases along with data entry.
•	Liaising with all sites in a trial to ensure data via Case Report Forms are sent on time and any missing data is complete.
