To understand the movement of The Sales Rebellion, first you need to understand why I started it and the community it has evolved in to.

It all starts with my Dad, a sales pro for over 38 years. 

His legacy is one of integrity, perseverance, and service to others is unmatched by most people who have enjoyed working in our great profession.

In a nutshell: I spent my life in the shadow of one of the greatest men to ever walk this earth and his ability to sell also fueled his success in LIFE.

What it has to do with me?

I realized my initial calling in the technology world (selling copiers, managed IT and software) through his business and also just how much fun I could have being in a sales role.

You might have heard rumors of me... back when they called me, The Copier Warrior.

From 2007 until 2017 I worked for the same company - my Father's firm was acquired in 2012 and I stuck around until 2017, at which point I moved on from the company I had represented for my entire career in sales. 

I made this decision after my Dad’s passing (see my shared articles for the 'saddest story I have ever told' if you want to know more).

I stayed in the copier industry for 2 more years before launching my Rebellion.

Yes, that's right in 2019, The Sales Rebellion was born.

My conquest of changing the game has expanded beyond my role as an individual contributor and a VP of sales in the technology space. 

Now I am teaching the masses how to be more creative, build a lasting legacy, be a servant leader and achieve more in their sales career.

No longer will the mediocre rule throughout our profession. 

A Rebellion is rising up.

Construct and implement training and on boarding procedures for new managers and technicians. Train, coach, and develop our management team throughout the company.

Hire managers and other employees. Write job descriptions. Collaborate on pay plan structures. Develop company mission statement and employee handbook.

Handle escalated customer service issues. Dramatically reduce the amount of customer issues that rise to that level by training and coaching managers to perform excellent customer service, create clear and realistic expectations, communicate with customers respectfully and consistently, and graciously and professionally handle any problems that do arise.

Ensure that technicians continue to receive training and obtain certifications. Successfully saw many technicians become master certified in a short time.

Work together with owner to open new stores, personally market them in the community, properly staff new stores, and host open houses and ribbon cuttings.

Create systems and formats for quarterly store evaluations, employee write up processes, and annual employee reviews to ensure open and consistent communication and expectations with the entire team.

Source and implement ongoing training for managers to assist in developing leadership, sales, and software skills as well as automotive knowledge.

Successfully set company sales records for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales.

Oversee day to day operations of the shop such as managing technicians and assistant managers, handling money, ordering parts, and performing excellent customer service.

Create long term customer relationships by giving outstanding customer service, setting realistic expectations, and delivering more than expected.

Form and maintain relationships with referral partners in the local area.

Hire new employees by reviewing resumes and conducting interviews. Train technicians on company and shop expectations such as performing digital vehicle inspections, operating in a timely fashion, and the general flow of the shop. Train assistant managers on computer software, customer service, managing the team of technicians, and automotive knowledge when needed.

As the flagship store manager, do initial training for all new managers in the company.

Develop store procedures to ensure a positive customer and employee experience, dramatically increase productivity in store, and create an environment that is consistent and stable, allowing for significant increases in traffic and sales without a decrease in quality of work or experience.
