To understand the movement of The Sales Rebellion, first you need to understand why I started it and the community it has evolved in to.

It all starts with my Dad, a sales pro for over 38 years. 

His legacy is one of integrity, perseverance, and service to others is unmatched by most people who have enjoyed working in our great profession.

In a nutshell: I spent my life in the shadow of one of the greatest men to ever walk this earth and his ability to sell also fueled his success in LIFE.

What it has to do with me?

I realized my initial calling in the technology world (selling copiers, managed IT and software) through his business and also just how much fun I could have being in a sales role.

You might have heard rumors of me... back when they called me, The Copier Warrior.

From 2007 until 2017 I worked for the same company - my Father's firm was acquired in 2012 and I stuck around until 2017, at which point I moved on from the company I had represented for my entire career in sales. 

I made this decision after my Dad’s passing (see my shared articles for the 'saddest story I have ever told' if you want to know more).

I stayed in the copier industry for 2 more years before launching my Rebellion.

Yes, that's right in 2019, The Sales Rebellion was born.

My conquest of changing the game has expanded beyond my role as an individual contributor and a VP of sales in the technology space. 

Now I am teaching the masses how to be more creative, build a lasting legacy, be a servant leader and achieve more in their sales career.

No longer will the mediocre rule throughout our profession.

As an Enterprise AE at BetterUp, I pursued 70 prospective enterprise accounts (over $5 billion in revenue). This was a hunter role with minimal business development support. During my 9 month tenure, the company was in a profound and protracted state of declining growth and sales forecast shortfalls. This led to turnover in sales leadership and a total reorganization of the go to market strategy 4 months after I joined. My response to this adversity was to dig in and do everything in my power to support the mission of the organization and fulfill my commitment to the company.  Ultimately, I was part of an inevitable reduction in force that was necessary to survive the current economic reality that BetterUp is facing.

•	Increased sales pipeline from 3 ($1.8 million) to 17 opportunities (>$10 million) applying creative lead generation tactics using email, cold calling and social media.     
•	Improved channel partner engagement through in-person and virtual networking events

CyLumena

CyLumena was a boutique cyber security services firm providing cyber security consulting to clients of all sizes anywhere in the U.S.  I was responsible for development, implementation, and execution of go to market strategy corresponding with target market and industry demand. I was instrumental in positioning the company for acquisition by CitiusTech. 

•	Grew managed service Total Contract Value by 163% and Annual Contract Value by 87%
•	Increased commercial sales pipeline from $250k to $1.6 million
•	Developed and implemented a reseller program expanding depth and breadth of services using best of bread partners
•	Created outsourced services division through partnerships with Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) that created $10 million in pipeline with Federal Government agencies.  
•	Executed automated email marketing campaign that generated 159 leads, 55 nurtures, 32 conversions to opportunities, 18.5% open rate and 1.9% response rate over 10 months. 
•	Led effort to commercialize “in house” cloud migration and support expertise using Microsoft 365 into new managed services offering that was sold to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Allegheny County as first client.  
•	All of this was accomplished during the first year of Covid-19 pandemic.

My focus was in information security, in particular Managed Security Services and Professional Security Services.  Area Sales Director reporting to the Vice President of Sales, responsibilities included new business development in the enterprise market, managing, renewing and growing existing client base, coordination of activities with business development, technical sales support and account management associates, channel partner development and management.  During my time at NTT I supported multiple territories which included most states east of the Mississippi.  Some of my notable accounts were Kraft Heinz, Humana, NYC Health + Hospitals, Eaton Corporation and many more.  

•	Generated over $30 million in revenue from 2009-2019
•	Top Sales Performer 2015, 2017 & 2018

Responsible for coordination and development of business plan that established for-profit UPMC subsidiary H3i (Healthcare Information Innovation Initiative).  Developed co-marketing partnership to provide IBM (International Business Machines) reference services in exchange for revenue sharing.
