Zihmer Law Firm just turned 9 years old!

A few of my top lessons on this journey…

🚀 Make decisions fast. Pivot as needed. 

🚀 Flat fee is the best way.

🚀 Paid up front or in milestones. Zero work without payment. Ever. 

🚀 Great people will do great work. Delegate outcomes and get out of the way. 

🚀 On one hand it’s wild how much work it is. On the other hand it’s not work at all…it’s the privilege of a lifetime to do this. 

And one more lesson. The biggest one. And it’s not for everyone but I really want to say it ‼️

Your spouse and kids can get what’s left of you in the evenings, weekends when you aren’t working, and holidays. Really think about who you spend the most hours with…and realize you can spend that time with your wife and kids. It doesn’t mean “don’t work”. It means that working with them is one of the greatest blessings on earth. 

Maybe that’s why it doesn’t ever feel like work. I work all day with my best friend. And we are building a place where our kids can join us one day. 🚀

I can’t wait to see what the next 9 years hold in store!

I rewrote my entire presentation 2 days before the slides were due. 

I built my entire original talk being what I thought everyone wanted to hear and in a style that was more “conference”. 

I hated it. 

Because I wasn’t being true to myself. 

I realized that I was invited to speak because of who I am, what I know, and what I’m willing to share. 

I went back and redid the entire talk. Every slide. Every word. Every idea. 

My old football coach had a saying: Go hard or go home. 

I went hard. 

And when a giant group followed me off stage, the line wrapped around, and people lined up to talk and ask questions…I realized I made the right decision. 

Just be you. And that will be what the right group of people want. 🚀

I paused. 

Create your Google Business Profile. 
Turn on Local Service Ads. 
Get every client to give a 5 star review. 
Take the profit and reinvest…do that again. 

Then…
Build a funnel. Turn on FB ads. Run a webinar. 
Once those are profitable. 

Get into Google Ads. Always. 

And the picture? Tracy and I were playing a game a few years ago. The question was, “We’re down to our last $10. What do we buy?”

Tracy said a domain. 
I said Google ads.
