Husband. Father. Founder. Leader.

Last week I had to be all four at once. 🎬 

My 3 month old wakes up at 1am.

I had to travel to another city by 5am.

I ate once a day, slept 3 hours, and ran 3 big shoots in 7 days.

And I've never felt more alive.

Last week was chaos on paper.

Multiple client shoots back to back.

Scripts to finalise. Questions to prep. Concepts to align.

2 days before every shoot, sitting with the team for hours making sure everything is in place.

After every meeting, sitting alone to make sure everything is in place.

Then at home.

To a 3 month old who wakes up any time of the night.

To a wife who needs my presence during her journey.

Work till 2am.
Wake up at 5am.
Travel to another city for the shoot.
Set everything up before the first client arrives.

First shoot done.

Drive back. Review. Prepare for the next one.

Second shoot done.

Same energy. Same standards. Same care.

Third shoot.

By now most people would be running on empty.

I was running on something else entirely.

I wanted to finish everything before Holi.

So my team could celebrate without carrying work on their shoulders.

That's what leaders do.

But here's what surprised me most.

I didn't feel tired.

Not once.

I ate once a day. Slept 3 hours. 

Carried the weight of every shoot, every client, every deliverable.

And I felt more alive with every passing day.

That's when I understood something deep about purpose. 💫 

When you're truly living it, it doesn't drain you.

It fuels you.

Being a founder. A leader. A husband. A father.

These aren't roles that exhaust me.

They're the reason I wake up at 5am without an alarm and feel grateful doing it.

Most people think success requires sacrifice.

I think it requires alignment.

When what you do matches who you are...

Even the hardest days feel like a blessing.

These are the days I'll look back on one day.

I turned down a ₹500,000 offer.

You might say I'm stupid to do this.

The offer looked perfect on paper.

Big number. Reputable name. 

The kind of thing you screenshot and send to your family.

But something felt off.

Not logically. Energetically.

You know that feeling when everything looks right but something inside you is quietly saying, this isn't it.

I've learned two things about opportunities like this:

One: not every dollar is meant for you. 

Some money comes with a cost nobody puts in the contract. 

Your time. Your energy. Your direction.

Two: when you say yes to the wrong thing, you block the right thing from finding you. 

You're too busy, too distracted, too drained to even see it when it arrives.

This deal would have pulled me away from the work I actually care about.

I only work with purpose-driven people who build something real.

That's not something I'm willing to trade.

So I said no.

No negotiation. No "let me think about it."
Just no.

The moment I did: 
No anxiety. 
No second guessing. 
No lying awake at 2am.

Just peace.

And peace, I've learned, is the clearest sign you're moving in the right direction.

Not every opportunity is your opportunity.

The right ones don't cost you your purpose.

The worst advice I ever got.

I followed it.

For years.

"Do free work. Build credibility first."👀

And here's what I didn't understand back then...

The universe gives you exactly what you believe you deserve.

I was putting out "free" energy.

So I kept attracting free clients.

Broke clients. Slow clients. "Can you do it for exposure?" clients.

I thought it was a strategy problem.

It wasn't.

It was an energy problem.

What you look for, you find. 

What you believe you're worth, the world reflects back.

I was searching for free.

So free kept showing up.

The day everything changed wasn't when I updated my offer.

It wasn't when I changed my LinkedIn bio.

It was when I raised my standards internally, before anything changed externally.

I stopped accepting what I didn't want. 
I stopped working with people who drained me. 
I stopped pricing from fear.

And the moment I shifted that energy?

Better clients. 
Bigger numbers. 
Conversations that felt easy instead of exhausting.

The universe didn't change.

I did.

Your pricing isn't just a business decision.

It's a declaration of what you believe you're worth.

Charge accordingly.

How to find clients who pay more money.

I spent 3 years fixing the wrong thing.

Nobody told me the real reason.

For the longest time I thought I had a leads problem.

Wrong niche. Wrong platform. Wrong offer.

I kept tweaking everything on the outside.

Nothing changed.

Here's what nobody says out loud:

You don't have a leads problem.

You have a belief problem.

When I was undercharging, I wasn't just picking a low number.

I was telling the universe exactly what I thought I was worth.

And the universe agreed.

Broke clients. Slow clients. "Can we do a payment plan clients.?"

I thought it was my strategy.

It wasn't.

It was my energy.

Clients can't explain it but they feel it.

They feel your relationship with money.
They feel your certainty or lack of it.
They feel whether you actually believe in what you're charging.

When what you say doesn't match what you feel they ghost your proposal.

Every time.

So here's the real answer to finding better clients:

When you believe in yourself you believe in your work.

When you believe in your work clients believe in your work.

When clients believe in your work they pay what it's worth.

You don't need better clients.

You need a better relationship with yourself first.

The pipeline doesn't change until you do.

Here's the simplest way to understand the difference:

Storytelling says: "Let me bring you closer."

It warms the room.

Storyselling says: "Let me help you decide."

It closes it.

The mistake I made for years?

I only did one.

Either beautiful stories with no direction.

Or pitching the offer with no emotional context.

Both fail.

The magic is knowing when to use which.

Not fewer.

For years I thought the goal was to reach a point where everything was under control.

No chaos. No fires. No uncertainty.

Just a clean, smooth, predictable business.

So I tried to control everything.

Every decision went through me.

Yes, at any cost.

Not because they are bad.
Not because they are evil.

But because I've seen this pattern repeat for years.

And it never changes.

Person A:

When they invest, they invest to win.

They show up prepared.
They trust the process.
They move fast.
They get results.

Because to them, the money was never the point.

The outcome was.

Person B: thinks differently.

When they invest, they invest to not lose.

And here's why that gap exists:

Person A and Person B both have $100,000 in the bank.

Same money. Same opportunity. 

Person A pays you $5,000.

They sign. They commit. They move.

That's winning energy.

Person B pays you $500 only.

They carry that money in their chest.

They wake up at 3am staring at the ceiling.

Talking to the universe:

"Please. At least let me break even. I don't even need to scale. Just let me not lose."

That's poor people: when the fear of losing never leaves, no matter how much you have.

Same bank balance.
Completely different energy.

And that fear energy doesn't disappear after they pay.

It follows them into every conversation, every revision, every deadline.

They don't ask questions to get clarity.
They ask questions to find a reason to exit.

They stretch the scope.
They feel like a landlord.
They move goalposts.
They squeeze every drop because that money hurt to release.

So you work harder.
Earn less.
Carry more stress.

And here's the part nobody talks about:

It's not their fault.

They builds fear and breakeven energy over years.

You cannot shift someone out of it in a single project.

What you can do is choose who you work with.

I learned this the hard way.
