Rhode needs to fire their marketing team

(Here's the email that proves it)

I got an email from Rhode by Hailey Bieber and it's a masterclass in what NOT to do.

Here's what's wrong:

The logo takes up half the screen, pushing content way below the fold. The hero image is massive but has no CTA button. The copy is hard to read. Then there's this messy grid that looks like a chaotic Instagram feed.

It's visually confusing and kills conversions.

So we redesigned it.

Our version:

→ Smaller logo (people know who you are)

→ Text on hero image with a clear CTA

→ Clean grid section that actually makes sense

→ Big, obvious CTA at the bottom

This isn't about being mean to Rhode. It's about the fact that even massive brands with huge budgets get email design completely wrong.

And if they're losing money on bad emails, smaller brands definitely are.

Design matters. Every pixel above the fold matters. Every CTA matters.

Step 1: Find a brand with incredible product imagery (we used Grüns)

Step 2: Upload their image to ChatGPT and ask it to describe the image and create a detailed prompt

This is the secret. You need AI to analyze the image first so you can guarantee consistency across outputs. This is how you get the AI to actually understand what you want.

Step 3: Upload your product mockup (Stanley tumbler)

Step 4: Use that prompt from step 2 with your product

Result? Professional-grade lifestyle imagery that looks like it came from a $25k shoot.

2 stupidly simple subject line hacks that blow up email revenue

Most people overthink subject lines.

They spend 20 minutes crafting the perfect clever line that nobody opens.

Here's what actually works:

Hack #1: ALL CAPS subject lines

Sounds aggressive, right? But the data doesn't lie.

We ran a quick test on a welcome email for one of our clients.

Original subject line: 65.6% open rate

ALL CAPS version: 71.49% open rate

Same email. Same audience. Just uppercase letters.

The winning variation did $22,174 in revenue.

Hack #2: Use prefixes

RE:, JUST IN:, INSIDE:, FYI:

These work because they hijack pattern recognition in the inbox.

One client tested an ALL CAPS prefix vs lowercase:
↳ ALL CAPS PREFIX: 51.85% open rate
↳ lowercase prefix: 48% open rate

Another client saw even crazier results:
↳ With prefix: 87% open rate
↳ Without prefix: 66% open rate

That's a 21 percentage point jump from adding two words.
