I enjoy understanding how things work and collaborating with others in finding technical solutions. One of the things I truly like is to employ my programming skills to solve problems and repetitive tasks that ease workflow.

One of my greatest strengths is my ability to adapt to the situation and keep going whatever tasks that are ahead. I am flexible and constantly trying to refine my expertise. 

After graduating 2012 from Åland University of Applied Sciences, I immediately got employment at Ecomar Ltd as a Project Engineer. 

After almost four great years of Marine Engineering projects, I decided to pursue my Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at Aalto University.

After graduating from Aalto I started working as a Project Engineer for Foreship Ltd, where I got to work with creative and very skilled people. I also got to employ my passion for problem-solving!

Currently I am working at Ålands Företagsbyrå, as their IT Specialist. I get to work with Excel and Python, and have started learning TSQL. I am challenged with further refining the use of the ERP-system Lemonsoft. Development and daily maintenance of the IT-structure and equipment is also one of my responsibilities.

•	Spearheaded the modeling and implementation of an advanced spreadsheet for market risk valuation purposes (duration, value at risk, key rate duration, Nelson Siegel slope, Performance Attribution, and others) through Advanced Excel functions, Batchcal (i.e., Polypaths windows batch script), and VBA programming
•	Oversaw monthly stress testing of non-parallel shocks on yield curves by gathering yield curve data from Bloomberg and executing VBA macros that included the use of SOLVER
•	Developed a LIBOR-SOFR calculator to calculate the gain/loss of market value of LIBOR swaps using VBA and batch script for Capital Market’s Department
•	Converted a MATLAB code (VaR bell curve analysis) to VBA code and saved MATLAB license fee
•	Reduced swap valuation process processing time from three weeks to three days by automating several complex structures using VBA programming and advanced Excel functions

Quantitative Analyst II - Market Risk Analysis

Esperanza Analytic Solutions LLC

•	Built three projects:  (i) A study of the city of Phoenix, AZ, (ii) U.S. hourly weather data and weather station examination, and (iii) Is a 2020 recession inevitable
•	Used Python’s pandas to classify the compiled ten-years hourly weather data by state and city, and perform an exploratory data analysis (EDA) on the city of Phoenix, AZ and created visualizations to determine, if on average, temperatures in Phoenix are getting hotter over time
•	Implemented a Python script to automate the web scrapping, opening, local organizing, concatenating, and wrangling of monthly zip files containing hourly weather observation for all stations in the U.S. into a CSV containing a single year of clean data from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA)
•	Devised a 63.6GB CSV file containing over ten-years of hourly yearly data merged with the U.S. weather station data from NOAA by using pandas and Python’s algorithm
•	Built a Python script to web-scrapped the daily constant maturity treasury (CMT) rates from the U.S. Department of the Treasure website using beautiful-soup, pandas, and request packages
•	Performed data wrangling with python’s pandas on CMT rates, U.S. real gross domestic product, real personal income, and unemployment rate data from the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis
•	Implemented a time-series analysis and created visualizations to study the leading indicators of U.S. recessions since 1981 to establish patterns leading to causation
