Responsible for budget forecasting, data analysis, and strategic media recommendations for our 15-25 TV clients representing $70+MM annually. Worked closely with TV Media Buyers and Directors to provide accurate budget forecasts and industry trends that drove purchasing decisions.

-Consolidated, enhanced, and standardized operations forecasting system, achieving monthly accuracy of >95%.
- Scaled forecasting methodology from 10-15 clients representing $75 million annually to 20+ clients handling $100+ million.
-Accurate pre-month planning reduced number of in-month plan adjustments by 35-50%.

Media Analyst

Girl Scouts River Valleys

Managed vendors, software systems, and logistical aspects for $700,000 fall Snacks & Magazines sale and in preparation for $16 million winter Cookie sale. Managed relationships with software vendors and product delivery agents to ensure a positive customer experience. 

Successes: 
- Launched new volunteer software system (CMS) for winter Cookie sale with over 26,000 users, Smart Cookies.
- Facilitated in-person training for over 100 volunteers and created online training utilized by hundreds of volunteers. 
- Supervised Product Sales Specialists.

Product Sales Operations Manager

Managed budget process for the Operations portion of the organization, which included 12 departments and a total expense budget of over $7 million. I served as the liaison between finance and program staff, delivering accounting information in a way that is understandable and relevant, and creating user-friendly budget and goal-tracking tools. I also coordinated with our fund development department and the $1.3 million grant-funded Girl Scouts ConnectZ program by tracking the ConnectZ budget, program goals, and grant deliverables to ensure a smooth and successful program. 

Special project: Coordination of Board of Director’s three-year strategic planning process, including: synthesizing discussion and decisions, managing group communication, gathering data, and organizing schedules with executive-level professionals. 

Successes: 
-Met Operations budget targets and exceeded budget actuals both years. 
-Girl Scouts ConnectZ exceeded all membership goals in 2017. 
-3-year strategic plan approved by board of directors.
-Improved staff capacity in multiple internal departments by designing and implementing efficient processes and creating user-friendly Excel tools.

Funded Programs Coordinator (Operations and Budget Analyst)

Supported girl and volunteer recruitment by providing direction, answering questions, and distributing materials to 152 volunteer recruiters in the community. Executed end of season analysis of recruitment data for use in strategic planning and completed quality assurance projects to identify and correct recurring problems with member records. 

Successes: Through our re-investment in volunteer recruiters, Girl Scouts River Valleys celebrated a return to growth in new girl members for the first time in several years.

Recruitment Specialist

Habitat for Humanity Of Minnesota

Served at the Minnesota State Support Organization as the resident expert for Minnesota Habitat affiliates on family selection and support, including compliance with national and state regulations on homebuying and mortgage loans. Collaborated with Executive Directors and staff from local affiliates to connect them with resources from other affiliates around the state and the country, and fulfilled a role as intermediary between the requirements from Habitat for Humanity International and our local affiliates.

AmeriCorps VISTA - Family Services

InterCorps Council of Minnesota

As a member of the InterCorps Council of Minnesota, I represented the 9 Habitat for Humanity VISTAs in Minnesota to provide educational, service, and networking opportunities to AmeriCorps volunteers throughout the state. As a representative on the Training and Education Committee, I collaborated with the other 6 committee members to bring training/education workshops to AmeriCorps volunteers in the Twin Cities.

The InterCorps Council of Minnesota is a peer-led organization of AmeriCorps members, representing State, National, and VISTA programs throughout Minnesota.  The vision of the InterCorps Council of Minnesota is to promote engagement, communication, collaboration, and education to empower AmeriCorps and the Minnesota community.

My passion for my work is infectious. 

Even though I work with processes, goal tracking, data, and budgeting. Where I shine is making these topics accessible and engaging to all types of people.  

I love working with people of different backgrounds. I can connect with someone in IT or accounting just as easily as someone in customer service. I thrive in projects that involve complexity and lots of people. 

Developing employees and encouraging autonomy in my staff is one of my biggest joys. To me, a manager is best described as an advocate and partner rather than a supervisor. When you prioritize employee fulfillment and retention, business outcomes flourish. 

I often work with serious topics, but if you ask people about me, they’ll tell you that I’m always upbeat, high-energy, and open to questions or a chat. I’m a life-long vocalist and choral singer, and am known to accidentally sing-speak on occasion.
