RWA Construction Services

The main activities I have provided include estimating, project management, and sales of construction services.  In addition I also complete condition surveys, pre and post construction inspections, and dispute resolution advise
My areas of expertise include; residential, commercial, and restoration construction.

For a local excavation company,  I am providing estimating and take off services for the special and larger projects that they are asked to quote.   In addition, I created and revised estimating tools, to allow for this work to be completed quickly and accurately. 

For a GTA based ICI GC, I am providing site supervision on the day shift at local and out of town sites; for renovation projects, for a large nationwide retailer.  This requires that I plan and coordinate, the night and day work with the night shift site supervisor, client onsite PM staff, the local store management, and the sub trades involved.  I also have to supervise any site work that occurs during the day shift.  All while not creating a disturbance, for the ongoing store clients.   This company is COR certified for Health & Safety.

For a local sunroom installer and renovation contractor, I completed; large contract - 6 figures plus - project management, the estimating and signing of non standard project contracts, resolved outstanding client and supplier issues with tact, and undertook business development.  In addition, I created new estimating and project management tools.

Working with a local independent restoration company and various insurance companies, I completed emergency and rebuild estimating.  This included using Xactimate, XactAnalysis, and Contractor Connection.  In addition, I priced residential and ICI non insurance projects, undertook business development activities, and the project management of the Emergency crews.

For a local ICI GC in the government sector; I am providing supervision of the site supervision team.  I am helping them perform bettering their roles and add new administrative skills to their capabilities.   In addition,  i am providing project management for various contracts and obtained my security clearances. 

For a GTA GC, I supervise the day to day site activity on various government sector projects.   These include local and out of town projects - Pembroke, GTA, Cornwall, and Petewawa.

I have grown up around construction. My father is a civil engineer and from a young age I was taken to many construction sites.

Through the many experiences I have and continue to acquire, my forte is to organize, coordinate, and guide the many people involved in the construction industry, from the design, costing, and completion of projects, while also ensuring the client's delight.  I am most familar with the residential, commercial, and restoration sectors of the construction industry.

I was active in the Greater Ottawa Home Builders Association for many years; this included being on the Renovation Council and the Health and Safety Committee. I continue to volunteer at Algonquin College on the Advisory Committee of the BCT (Building Construction Technician) program.

Specialties: Creating the best possible experience for the client throughout a construction project.
