I am as excited about Claude Code as I was about Clay in early 2024. This is THE banger combo for 2026. 

My AI progression: Started with individual AI chats. Every conversation started from zero. Then I moved to (Claude) Projects - persistent context, but siloed by project, and not compounding over time. Now I'm in Claude Code with MCP, and the difference is this: 

Context compounds across everything now. 

My methodology docs, my client learnings, my conversation history - all accessible in one place. When I work on a client engagement, I pull patterns from previous projects. When I build a new agent, I reference what worked before. The AI does not start from zero anymore - and what's new (pitfalls, failed attempts, solutions) again - compounds. 

This week I set up the infrastructure:

- Claude Code on my local machine with GitHub sync
- AI-ready markdowns of my foundational docs
- Extracted and categorized 1,181 AI conversations from the past year
- Next up: MPC wiring to get Slack and conversation context into Claude Code. 

This combination - Claude Code, MCP, Clay, Taste - will define how I execute in 2026.

Very small companies, sometimes one person, will deliver GTM campaigns and consulting work at a quality that was previously impossible. And yes I mean even better than 2025, since I had to more or less hold my learnings in my head. 

In theory knowledge organization should be a top priority (for anyone, more so as consultant) - but raise your hand if you'd say you've got this dialed in fully and reliably. 

I'm NOT there yet, and caution and moving deliberately will take time: Bad foundations scale faster too. The same tools that let you compound learning let you compound mistakes. But that is exactly why being able to ingest all context: 

What concepts worked? What broke? How did I get it right?

It's in my data. Now I can - actually - effectively use it. 

BIG BIG shout out to Jordan Crawford and Jacob Dietle - my two personal pioneers. Jordan is an inspiration 24/7 and Jacob is THE person to follow if you want to see what the technical frontier of GTM looks like. You guys ROCK!

Yesterday we got GTM Builders and Operators in a room in Clay's HQ for Clay Club NY - Builders Session. 

There are many ways to learn and connect online, but getting together and jam about all things GTM in-person feels right. 

Level up together by sharing what works, going on tangents, peer feedback, people bringing in their expertise, all in a long-form format.

The Signal Deep Dive

- Don't start with signals - start with foundations.
- Who are we monitoring for signals?
- What do we do when signals trigger?
- How do we interpret signals vs intent?

We walked through Kickstarter as a signals-first example - but can't share the details here (this is what you get in-person!). 

This led to the conversation everyone needed: signals are just noise when you act on every trigger without qualifying if the account is worth pursuing.

The Agency Pain Points Everyone Felt

An agency founder talked about turning her process into a playbook and the challenges of pricing and packaging GTM engineering work: How do you communicate value to clients when once you start building, you discover the direction as you go? This resonated with everyone - agencies and operators alike.

We agreed that foundations matter more than chasing the latest shiny tool. Sometimes the most valuable thing is just having someone external facilitate alignment on ICP and persona definitions.

We touched on conference prep strategies, database hygiene automation, meta-prompting with AI, and why you should never write prompts manually anymore.

The group was 2x oversubscribed again. We're figuring out how to scale these sessions while keeping the deep collaboration that makes them work.

You know what, it's gonna be all context engineering.

Phone is the best and hardest channel. Connect rates don't have to sulk at 2% though. There's a better way. 👇

And it can get connect rates up by multiples. 

Phone Scoring. 

TitanX has pioneered this to my understanding with phone intent. It is a combination of data, actual calling and assigning a 'propensity to pick up). Simplified version: 

P1: High Priority
P2: Mid-Priority
P3: Low Priority 
P4: Other 

For example P1 means likely the right person, likely to pick up. P2 likely the right person, likely goes to voicemail. 

Bottom line: The team calls P1s first, and the results I see across clients are so high that cold calling does not make any sense without it anymore. 

Only few providers out there. I have no affiliations, this is purely to educate since it's not as well-known as is absolutely should be.

TitanX and SureConnect seem to me the currently most viable options, with Titan being the leader and SureConnect being really easy to implement due to native Clay integration and pay as you go pricing. Comment with others! 

This is the flow: 

- Waterfall enrichment to find numbers (already much better vs single provider)
- Scoring into P1, P2 etc (THE unlock)
+ the relevant metadata into the CRM like the score successful provider, scoring provider, date etc.

With the metadata, calling can improve over time. Disposition must be synced from the caller into the CRM but that's the implementation details)

The systems I build let this data flow into the CRM - Reps can for example just add accounts to a designated list in the CRM and Clay will find, disqualify (filter out bad fits), and enrich and push fully enriched contacts back into the CRM, ready to call only the leads who are much more likely to pick up. 

It can all be rep-initiated and provide any number of leads. 

Just this alone is such a _major _unlock, if you don't do it like this, you're missing out on multiples on cold calling effectiveness (or efficiency? I'll never learn, but it's gooood!)
