The Global Water Forum (GWF) was established in 2010 as an initiative of the UNESCO Chair in Water Economics and Transboundary Water Governance in order to present knowledge and insight from leading water researchers and practitioners. The contributions provide evidence-based, accessible, and freely available articles looking at local, regional, and global water challenges. GWF is based in Australia National University.

My role as the Topic Editor in the Energy Economics section involves sourcing and editing articles contributed by policy professionals and academics in related areas for publication in the Global Water Forum.

Acted as the primary showrunner responsible for the production, management, & distribution of Scripps News’ weekend political show The Race Weekend. 

Planned the show’s segments, stacked & lined show rundowns, coordinated guests in the control room, field produced special events, & edited taped content.

Facilitated the launch of a nonpartisan news network by producing their live AM newscast Morning Rush. Produced high-profile guest segments, reporter hits, panel discussions, special series, breaking news, & special events.

GovSight

- Launched GovSight, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to making “citizenship simplified”, via information, data, and access. Managed the news division by overseeing the creation of articles, videos and podcasts from start to finish. Also wrote, recorded and edited stories, videos and podcasts as a reporter.  Booked over 30 guests for our podcasts, including members of Congress, elections analysts and civic entrepreneurs.

- Hired more than 50 volunteers across three GovSight teams. Ensured GovSight's status as an Amazon and Google nonprofit while drafting our our legal documentation.

- Managed the business across marketing, accounting, branding, fundraising, hiring, product management and technological rollout of GovSight's platform. (The platform was disabled after I chose to leave for my current role.)

- Achieved and oversaw an average click-through rate of 12% with more than 20,000 unique visitors to GovSight per month. Gained 11,000 users who spent an average of five minutes using GovSight per day. Averaged 2,500 podcast downloads per month.

- Engineered solutions for the platform by programming new code and approving code mergers on our AWS-powered backend. Developed and supervised the overarching architecture of the website while programming the specific functions of the platform.
