Speaking personally, while I think I was born with a love and some natural talent for creating art, I was also lucky enough to have supportive parents, wonderful teachers and mentors who have helped me refine this passion and raw skill, into a viable craft and profession. 

It led me to Columbus College of Art and Design, and to a Disney Feature Animation internship in '91, where I got to work on Beauty and the Beast.
