If you're using Claude Code and running into daily/weekly limits, here's what ACTUALLY helps:

⚡ .claudeignore files
Same idea as .gitignore. Add one to each project telling Claude to ignore node_modules, build folders, and .env files. It was scanning thousands of irrelevant files on every single task.

⚡ Your CLAUDE.md competes with your actual task
Every token in that file is a token NOT spent on your request. Keep it under 700 tokens. Cut the documentation. Only include behavioral rules.

Behavioral over documentation — "Before editing copy, confirm whether this targets local services or B2B" beats a 3-paragraph site description every time.

Process gates — "Before touching more than 3 files, describe your plan and wait for approval." Stops Claude from going rogue on something you didn't ask for.

Positive framing — "Write results, not brand names" outperforms "Never use company names." AI follows affirmatives more reliably than prohibitions.

Self-improvement loop — End every CLAUDE.md with: "When you correct an error I make, propose a new rule to add to this file." It compounds quietly every session.
