2.5 years ago, I quit my job with no backup plan.

I’d only been posting on LinkedIn for 2 months.

My business wasn’t making profit, I had a tuned-out Instagram audience, and no idea if I’d make things work or not.

I was used to working 8 hours a day for the employed role, and then 2/3 hours either side of it on the ‘side hustle’. So like most people in the early stages, I thought:

“I’ll just work harder, post more content, send more DMs… and everything will fall into place”

But it didn’t...

Why? Because the work you put in, the content you post + the DMs you send don’t really matter if your offer isn’t right. And back then, my offer was all over the place:

❌ → It wasn’t clear enough, it wasn’t specific enough, and it didn’t solve my audience’s biggest problems. So, I went back to the fundamentals:

I stopped trying to do everything.

I got laser-focused on the who + the how, and I dialled things in so people couldn’t say no. Instead of value-centric, I went problem-centric. And the clarity I got from slowing down changed everything:

→ First £2,500 client.
→ First £250,000 year.
→ And 100+ clients served.

So know this: If you’re not getting results, it’s not the algorithm → It’s probably your offer, messaging or positioning.

Your content, your leads, your sales…
They’re all downstream from that one thing.

If what you put out there doesn’t make people think

“That’s exactly what I need…”
It’s time to fix it.

Monday - I worked from Somerset while looking after my niece – I love that I have the flexibility to do this. Picking her up from school is the best although I had to do a zillion different hair styles in the morning 🤣 

Tuesday - I had the incredible Stoyan Yankov on 🎙️ (episode dropping very soon 👀) and a flurry of calls about upcoming speaking opportunities… including TWO overseas. The positive habits advantage is spreading globally... 🌍 

Also Emily Gill's podcast episode went live 'Human Doings → Human Beings'  and the messages about this one have been so lovely. That conversation was so 
interesting - still smiling about how what the 'basics' are things that most of us forget to do like breathing... 😁 

Wednesday & Thursday - I spoke at The PA Show at International Confex. Two of the most AMAZING days. Huge thank you to the incredible Jude Brosnan (absolute powerhouse of an organiser 💛). The follow-up messages have been amazing – lots of great follow ups in the diary!

Friday - More speaking + programme meetings… including one about launching Positive Habits for Performance into a local authority. This will be our first public sector team rollout at scale in the UK. VERY exciting.

Weekend - Birthday prep for someone special, a rainy run, sea dip, and our monthly Women Who PLNGE coffee. So many new faces including Sally Spicer and her lovely mum Anne. Sundays are the highlight of my week.

You know when you’ve been quietly working on something for months… well over a year now.

And today something magical happened.

I’m so excited to share that I’ll be working in partnership with Association of School and College Leaders to bring Positive Habits to schools.

The week has got off to a great start!

Yesterday we kicked off the Positive Habits for Performance programme with the leadership team PSR Solutions 🚀 

They already have a brilliant culture. 
They have an incredible work environment.
They have aspirational leaders.
They've won awards.
They are truly incredible people to work with.

But as Wim Hof says, even healthy people should be taking cold showers.

BUT building habits is hard on your own.
Doing it together creates accountability, support and momentum.

One small change, practiced consistently, can make us stronger leaders, stronger teams, and better humans both at work and at home.
