Simple!

I got tired of watching good leads die in messy systems.
I didn’t want to just book meetings anymore.

I wanted to understand the system that creates qualified demand, captures it, scores it, and turns it into revenue.

That curiosity led me straight into GTM Engineering - where sales, ops, and tech meet.

Now, I don’t just send messages or build lists.
I build automated GTM systems that connect:

It automates inbound lead qualification → enrichment → CRM update → Slack notification.

All built from scratch in n8n.

The moment it ran successfully, 
I realized something powerful:
This wasn’t about tool stacking,
It was about systems thinking, choosing clarity over chaos.

And that’s what GTM Engineering is really about.
Mapping processes, identifying friction, 
and designing smarter revenue flows.

• I Co-Founded Beyond Service Year (BSY) -  A platform helping young Nigerians thrive beyond school and NYSC…not with more information, but with implementation and access to real opportunities.

Honestly, I’m humbled 
It’s been 2 years of consistency. 

I opened Linkedln for the first time in 
October 2023, and since then I have 
consistently shown up!

Did I take breaks at some point? Yes
But did I always bounce back with more clarity? Absolutely! 

7K in 2 years might feel slow, 
but this growth is mine
It’s raw and authentic 
Nothing was faked

I didn’t arrive without a story
And this milestone feels deeply special

But if I am going to drop one solid thing

it will be this: “Staying focused on where I’m headed” 

Not once did I feel the pressure of running 
after numbers or being in competition 
Not once!

Showed up in the best way that feels right to me 
And most importantly, prioritized growing for real offline 

Because when you grow offline, it reflects online!

My story is not the most glamorous or the 
loudest, but I hope it inspires you to own your journey, to keep evolving as you go, and to choose your Pressure!

I think I just did the most ambitious thing in my career so far.
And honestly? I might be a little delusional… but the good kind.

A few weeks ago, I stumbled on the GTM Engineer role at ActiveCampaign. 
I read the JD, line by line, every responsibility, every skill, every requirement. 

And a wild thought hit me:
“If this is what being a GTME here looks like…
why not start showing up as that person, right now?”

I didn’t have the 3+ years experience the JD mentioned
I didn’t have a RevOps background.
I didn’t have all the tools mastered.

But what I DID have was:
curiosity, obsession, and the willingness to build in ambiguity.

So Instead of submitting a résumé…
I diagrammed, architected, and built the job.

From scratch 
End-to-end 
Alone

What I Built (In Plain English):
An AI-powered Lead router and deal acceleration system that:
1.	Captures incoming leads via webhook
2.	Enriches them using Explorium/Prospeo.io API
3.	Cleans & structures the data instantly 
4.	Scores the lead with JS logic (code)
5.	Routes them into 3 segments 
6.	Generates AI-personalized outreach for high-fit leads (LLM)
7.	Alerts Sales on Slack in real-time
8.	Logs EVERYTHING in CRM + Sheets

All inside one automated n8n workflow.

No team.
No shortcuts
Just me, a crazy amount of focus, and a 
desire to build my way into the future I want

I didn’t APPLY to the role (yet)
I built the role in public.

Because that’s:
• The bias for action the JD asked for
• The hacker mentality Active campaign values 
• The AI-first mindset the company prides itself on.

Maybe this is delusional.
But delusion built everything we admire today.

And this system isn’t just for ActiveCampaign.
It’s a reflection of the level of:

December just started, and I want to say something most people won’t say:

Please… pause.

While everything right now is moving fast, 
especially with the idea of finishing strong,
I’m reminding myself of something different today:

“Don’t be so focused on the finish line that you forget to look back at the distance you’ve already covered.”

2025 stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.

I grew.
I learned.
I transitioned.
I rebuilt myself from the inside out.

From learning just a few tools in January → to mastering systems, building automations, stepping fully into GTM Engineering, finding clarity, co-founding Beyond Service Year (BSY), and impacting over 1,000 young Nigerians…

And still… I’m not where I want to be.
There’s one thing I’m still pushing for before this year ends:
A full-time GTM Engineering role.

But even as I chase it, I’m grateful.
Deeply grateful.

Because, I am definitely not where I used to be.

And that deserves a moment.

So before you rush to “finish strong,”
please take a second to acknowledge this:

You’ve already finished many battles you never thought you’d survive.
And you won quietly.
Privately.
Courageously.

December is not just for pushing.
It’s also for honouring your journey.

So here’s my message today:

Pause.
Look back.
Be proud.
You’ve come farther than your mind gives you credit for.

The scariest moment as a new GTM Engineer isn’t learning Clay… it’s your first paid client.

Nobody prepares you for that feeling.
You’re building in Clay every day, learning fast, experimenting, enjoying the growth.

Then suddenly...
It’s time to build for a real client.
A paid one.
And the doubt just shows up from nowhere.
“Am I really ready?”
 “What if I miss something?”
 “What if I fumble my first client?”
 “Maybe I still need to learn more before I take this on…”

I felt all of that.
Every single thing.
It didn’t matter how many mock projects I had done.
It didn’t matter how many workflows I’d already built.

When it became “This is a client trusting me with their revenue engine,” 
the pressure doubled.

But here’s the truth I need to tell you:
You won’t magically “feel ready.”
You get ready by doing the work anyway.

My first client taught me that.
I did it scared… but I still did it (and got recommended immediately)

Once that was done, I realised something simple but powerful:
Everything I had been building behind the scenes had actually prepared me more than I knew.

It really starts with one client.
Just one.
And from there, the doubt gets quieter…
the confidence gets louder…
and the skills stack faster than you can imagine.

So If you’re in that phase right now,
feeling the weight, the fear, the imposter thoughts - pls don’t let it stop you.
You don’t need to know every tool.
You don’t need to be an expert on day one.

You learn as you go.
Not at a go.

GTM Leaders – how do you check your messaging before it goes out?

We GTMEs spend so much time building the engine:
 ✅ Lists
 ✅ Qualification
 ✅ Intent signals
 ✅ Segmentation
 ✅ Automation flows

…and don’t get me wrong, all of that is critical.
But messaging is next in line for importance.

Because even when your leads are 
qualified and ready, vague or unclear 
messaging kills conversion.

What works for me:
📌 Keep it specific – say exactly what you 
do, who you help, and why they should care right now
📌 Keep it human – write like a person, not a process
📌 Test variations – small tweaks can make a huge difference

It’s simple: The engine drives traffic. 
The messaging closes the gap.

I Finally Built My First AI Agent in n8n… and I Learnt the REAL Secret Today

Let me explain. 

Today, I built a very simple but fully working AI agent:
👉🏽 It drafts your emails
👉🏽 Pulls all your calendar events for the week

Super clean.
Super useful.
And it works.

Nothing complex.
Nothing over-engineered.
Just a functional AI workflow, 
and honestly, I’m proud of it.

But here’s the truth…
The real win today wasn’t even the agent.
It was what the agent taught me.

The Secret I now Understand Deeper 👇

AI Agents are 80% SYSTEM PROMPT, 20% TOOLS.
For real.

Anyone can drag nodes.
But not everyone can design:
•	the logic
•	the flow
•	the expectations
•	the reasoning
•	the structure

Prompts = Brain
Tools = Hands
n8n = Environment

Once I understood that hierarchy, everything clicked.

…..Because Engineering isn’t
“What tool should I drag next?”
It’s
“How should this thing think?”

That mindset shift…
GAME.
CHANGER.

And that’s not even all

👉 The Next Most Important Lesson is this:
Start small → understand the logic → grow → scale.

This is exactly how real engineers level up:
•	Build tiny systems
•	Understand the foundation
•	Add the next layer
•	Introduce complexity later

Today wasn’t about automation.
It was about clarity.
It was about thinking.
It was about becoming.

And as a GTM Engineer in training…
This breakthrough means everything to me.

The deeper I go into GTM engineering… the clearer one thing gets:
Complexity will embarr@ss you if you’re not careful.

Here’s what I mean 👇🏽

As I’ve been building automations in n8n 
and simplifying outbound workflows, 
I’m starting to see a pattern:

Most “broken systems” aren’t actually broken.
They’re just too complicated for the owner to understand anymore.

Too many tools.
Too many steps.
Too many moving parts nobody is actually tracking.

And when things go sideways?
You won’t know where to start… because 
the system was never simple enough to 
debug in the first place.

My biggest lesson this week:
In GTM and automation, (even in life), 
simplicity isn’t minimalism - it’s survival.

A simple system is easier to scale, 
maintain, fix, and hand over.

Not every fancy node is your friend.
Not every tool improves the system.

And sometimes the smartest move is removing, not adding.

So before adding another tool or process to your workflow, ask yourself:
👉🏽 “Does this simplify or complicate my system?”

Because one extra step can be the 
difference between a system you control…
and a system that controls you.
