If your language is broad, LinkedIn sends you to a broad audience.
If your language is niche-specific, LinkedIn learns exactly who should see you.

Niche-specific content means:

• Using the exact sentences spoken inside your niche.
• Naming precise pain points - not generic struggles.
• Describing situations your ICP instantly recognizes.
• Speaking the thoughts already happening in their mind.

When someone reads your post and thinks:
“This is exactly my problem”

You’ve achieved positioning clarity.

Here’s where most creators go wrong:
They guess pain points.

Instead, extract them directly from real conversations happening online:

• Visit Quora

"I’m Posting on LinkedIn But Getting Zero Leads…"

On a recent 1:1 call, a CEO told me:

"I’ve been posting on LinkedIn consistently, but I’m not getting any leads. I’m sharing valuable content, but it’s just not converting into business."

I asked him a few questions and quickly spotted the problem: 

He was posting, but not positioning himself as an authority, and he wasn’t driving conversations where it mattered.

➞ Here’s what I told him:

👉 1. Fix the Positioning: 

His profile headline said, “CEO at [Company].” I changed it to: “Helping SaaS Founders Scale to $100K+ Months Through LinkedIn.” Immediately, his profile became outcome-focused and client-focused/ client-attractive.

👉 2. Engage More Than You Post: 

I advised him to stop focusing only on posting, and to start commenting on 15–20 posts daily from his target audience and on LinkedIn Top Voices. 
The algorithm favors engagement over content alone, and strategic commenting would boost his visibility.

👉 3. Turn Engagement into Conversations: 

I showed him how to DM people who engaged with his content:
 
"Hey [Name], thanks for engaging with my post on [topic]. Curious, how are you approaching [related challenge]?"
 
This opened the door for meaningful business conversations.

“How Do I Promote My Substack Newsletter on LinkedIn?”

I get this question almost every week.

Here’s my no-fluff answer:

1- Use LinkedIn Newsletter for AI Discoverability:

- LinkedIn newsletters are now indexed by Google and LinkedIn’s own internal AI discovery engine.
- That means: every LinkedIn-newsletter-article you publish improves your visibility - both on-platform and in search.
- Even if your Substack is external, mirror your best Substack-posts on your LinkedIn newsletter to catch inbound readers.

2- Use the LinkedIn Featured Section:

- Treat it as your Substack billboard.
- Add your Substack link as a featured item with a clear thumbnail, headline, and CTA.
- Note: Do not have more than 2 things in your Featured Section.

3- Use the LinkedIn Banner:

- Your banner should visually point to your Substack.
- Must have a call to action (CTA) on the banner:
“Weekly insights on (your niche) → Link in my Featured Section.”
- Note: Your banner is the first thing people see on your LinkedIn.

4- Use the Universal CTA:

- Repeat one consistent line across your entire profile - in your Banner, About Section, Featured Section, Services Section, Experience Section, and even post captions.

- Example:
“Check out my premium Substack newsletter - link is in the Featured Section below.”

- This repetition trains both humans and the algorithm.

5- Use Carousel Posts:

- Turn your most viral Substack article into a carousel (PDF upload).
- Add massive value and end with this CTA:
“Read the full story → Link in Featured Section.”

Note:
- Show the full value of your Substack to your LinkedIn community.
- Only then you can expect traction.

A SaaS founder said to me:

“Faizan! I’ve been tracking post impressions for months.
The numbers look fine.
But nothing is converting.”

This came up on a recent 1:1 call.

He wasn’t invisible on LinkedIn.
He was visible but to the wrong people (service providers)

… Who were pitching him repeatedly.

Here’s what was wrong 👇

Problem #1: No clear positioning:

His content talked to peers.
His profile spoke to “anyone in tech.”
That mismatch kills conversions.

If someone clicks your post → visits your profile → doesn’t immediately feel “this is for me” - the journey ends there.

So, impressions don’t matter.
If the brand positioning is wrong.

Problem #2: He wasn’t checking the “Audience” tab:

Most people obsess over impressions.
Few open “Post Analytics” → “Audience”.
That section answers one question that matters:

Who is LinkedIn actually showing you to?

- Job titles
- Seniority
- Industries
- Locations

If your impressions are coming from peers, juniors, or irrelevant roles, the algorithm is doing its job. You’re just feeding it with confused signals.

Problem #3: Content wasn’t built for conversations:

LinkedIn now prioritizes posts that:

• Trigger comments, not likes
• Keep people reading longer (dwell time)
• Clearly serve a specific group

Here’s the solution I gave him:

Align profile + content to one audience
Audit the Audience section weekly
Write posts that invite response, not applause

The LinkedIn strategies from 2025 will fail in 2026.

Big LinkedIn Update: You can now see "Saves" in your LinkedIn Post Analytics.

This is a small UI change but with big strategic impact. Read the walkthrough below and check your own posts "saves" analytic.

Why it matters (quick):

Saves = deeper intent. 
People don’t save fluff. 
They save useful, actionable posts they want to come back to.

How to check your "Saves" (Desktop View step-by-step)

1- Open LinkedIn on desktop and click "Me" (your circular profile pic) in the top bar.

2- Click "View profile"

3- Scroll down to the "Analytics" area and click "Show all Analytics" 

4- Then click on "Post Impressions"

5- Now scroll down and you will see your LinkedIn posts.

6- In front of every of your LinkedIn post 
There will be a button by the name of "View Analytics"
Click on it.

7- Now scroll down to the section called "Social Engagement"
Here’s you will see the 4 data parameters:

1- Reactions
2- Comments
3- Reposts
4- Saves

If you are not currently seeing the parameter "Saves"
Don’t worry. LinkedIn is rolling out the update. 
In a few days, it will be available to all of us


What to do with this Data (Practical Strategy):

1- Optimize for depth, not surface. 
Create posts with 3 clear takeaways...
Templates, scripts, or frameworks people can reuse.

2- Add a save CTA. 
If it’s genuinely useful... use the CTA: 
"Save this for your next client call"

3- Spot patterns. Which topics get saved? 
Double down.

4- Turn saves into outreach success. 
People who save + comment + visit your profile are warmer than cold lists. 
Prioritize them for a personalised follow-up.

5- Track daily. 
Save trends show what’s becoming evergreen in your audience’s mind.

Here are my thoughts:

He was keep changing his LinkedIn offer.

In January, he was an “executive coach for high achievers.”
In February, he was a “fractional COO for service based businesses.”

What Makes Content “AI-Pickable” in 2026?

✅ Clear structure (headlines, bullet points, numbered lists)
✅ Specificity – niche examples, tangible takeaways
✅ High-signal keywords – LinkedIn, B2B leads, storytelling, comment marketing, client results
✅ Unique phrasing – say it like a human, not like a marketing brochure
✅ Spicy insights – something bold, contrarian, or highly useful

Example:

Instead of:

“Here’s how to get leads on LinkedIn…”

Try:

“3 Deadly LinkedIn Mistakes That Are Killing Your DMs (And How to Fix Them Today)”
 
Then break down the tactics with real stories or templates.
AI tools love content that answers real questions with strong positioning.

Bonus: 

The spicier your content, the more people save it
And saves are now the #1 metric for reach.

So here’s your checklist before you post:

✅ Is it searchable?
✅ Is it specific?
✅ Is it save-worthy?

𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗲𝗱𝗜𝗻’𝘀 𝟯𝟲𝟬 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝘄 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘆𝗼𝘂.

Now it needs at least 2 months to rank your profile again (for extra reach and opportunities) for topic authority.

What is topic authority?

On LinkedIn, topic authority means how strongly the platform’s algorithm associates your profile with a specific subject or niche.

The 360 Brew algorithm measures this by analyzing:

• Your headline
• Your About section
• Your posts
• Your engagement (likes, comments, saves)
• Dwell time

So when you change your positioning, LinkedIn’s 360 Brew system resets.
Now it starts from scratch to study your:

1- Engagement patterns
2- How your comments are adding value
3- Whether you are commenting on competitors’ posts and adding value there

Because commenting on competitors’ posts is important.

The algorithm interprets this as subject-matter expertise.
That builds your topic authority.

4- Are your posts save-worthy?
5- Do your posts contain frameworks and bullet points?
6- Is the target audience listed under your new offer in your About section the same target audience your posts are speaking to?

If there is misalignment, distribution slows down.

𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀,

LinkedIn in 2026 is 180 degrees different from what it was in 2025.
If “LinkedIn 2025” was fire,

“Faizan! My reach has dropped badly.
I’m posting consistently on LinkedIn.
I’m doing everything right!!”

That’s what a founder told me on a recent 1:1 call.

He wasn’t shadowbanned.
He wasn’t posting at the wrong time.
He wasn’t over-doing hashtags.

He simply wasn’t engaging.

Here’s what most people don’t understand about LinkedIn reach 👇

LinkedIn doesn’t reward content in isolation.
It rewards content + interaction patterns.

If you post and disappear, the system reads that as low intent.
If you comment randomly, the system gets confused about who your content is for.

So here’s the solution I presented to him:

The solution isn’t more posting.
The solution is strategic engagement.

This is the exact process I gave him:

1- Select 20 profiles:

People who:

• Create content in your niche
• Attract your ideal audience
• Do real conversations in comments

2- Comment on their posts daily for 14 days:

Not “Great post.”
Not emojis.
Real comments.
Thoughtful additions.
30–35 words minimum.

3- On Day 15, audit engagement:

Who replied back?
Who engaged with your content?
Who returned the favor?

4- Replace non-responsive profiles:

Drop the ones who never engage back.
Add new/ active profiles.

5- Repeat the cycle:

This is how you build an engagement tribe.

And once LinkedIn understands:

• Who you engage with
• Who engages with you
• Who your conversations are for

Your reach doesn’t “come back.”
It stabilizes.
It compounds.

And it starts reaching the right people.

Likes are an engagement signal.
Leads are a brand positioned signal.

The algorithm can detect interaction.
It cannot detect buying intent.

So if you want posts that generate leads, use this system:

1- 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗸:
Clear. Specific. Pattern interrupt.
If the first two lines don’t target a niche pain, it won’t convert.

2- 𝗣𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀:
Name the exact frustration your ICP is experiencing.
Not “struggling with growth.”
But “Your outbound rep is booking calls but 40% don’t show up.”

3- 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳:
Screenshots on ROI.
Specific outcomes.
Before → After.

4- 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗖𝗧𝗔:
Tell them what to do.
Comment. DM. Book a call. Apply.

𝗡𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗲𝘁’𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿:

Before someone becomes a lead, they subconsciously evaluate:

• Do I see this person as the legit solution?
• Does their identity match mine?

• Is their offer viable in my market?

• Do people in my niche recognize them?
• Do they “carry trust”?

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀:

1- LinkedIn recommendations
2- Endorsements on your skills. 
3- Five-star testimonials in Services section.

𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁:

Are you positioned in a real market category?

“High performance recovery” = unclear category.
“Somatic healing” = recognized category.
“Executive recovery” = unclear.
“Nervous system reset” = clear.

Clarity converts.

𝗔𝗹𝘀𝗼:
Are you telling the story inside your ICP’s mind?
Or are you explaining theory?

𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆:
Your post should be at least 200 words.
Depth signals topical authority.
Authority builds trust.

If you never promote your offer, LinkedIn doesn’t know what to send you.

✅ 5. Newsletter Articles:

Long-form (300-400 words)
Single-theme.
Consistent publishing.

This builds AI-indexed authority across answer engines.

This query landed in my LinkedIn inbox last week.
He thought he had a content problem.

He didn’t.
He had a brand alignment problem.

It is all about the offer alignment on your profile.

That clarity of branding determines:

• Who would see your content
• Who would engage with your content
• Who LinkedIn would push your content to.

If your headline is broad (founders)
Your audience will be broad (any founder).

If your About section is speaking to everyone
Your reach will be anyone.

Every time you publish content, LinkedIn’s system reads your:

• Headline
• About section
• Featured section
• Experience section
• Service section’s keywords.
• Engagement signals (dwell time + saves).

And then decides:

“𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿?”

If you say:
“I help leaders unlock potential.”
LinkedIn does not know who to send you to.

If you say:
“I help ‘Series A SaaS founders’ reduce churn using lifecycle analytics.”

Now the distribution is focused.
Positioning is not branding fluff.

It is a content distribution trigger.
Your profile is a decisive factor.

It attracts the right people.
It repels the wrong ones.

And it trains LinkedIn where to place you.

Offer alignment
